@IzzyTheNotSoTerrible spinach loves the cool weather. i live in missouri and start mine in early march, expecting that i may lose some to frost. but i plant one packet each week that way i can harvest as early as possible. havnt had any luck growing spinach indoors. as the weather gets hot and dry, the spincah starts to bolt (turn into a stick thing). thats the sign of the end. but by that time, my tomatoes and peppers are coming into fruit. they like the heat. JMHO

My 5 week old spinach shoots went from happy and green to wilty and yellow spotted, almost overnight. Any ideas?

sounds like u need nitrogen fertilizer. you can buy sm like 16-16-16 or smthn with high nitrogen. or- buy sm dry seaweed and add it to ur soil. u may find it powdered. if not grind up the dried nori strips. BAM! natural nitrogen. in a couple days u should be fine.

I would be highly interested to see a close up of some of the birds I hear in this video! Common to you I'm sure but not Canada. Above is a vid of my spinach from yesterday, our days are waning now from June 21 our longest day. I will direct resow seed twice more as spinach loves cool weather. As well you might be interested to know I have sown it too late & it winters our severe climate to be 1st in spring. Nutritional analyses shows it higher than near anything except in calories.
