In the 60s and very early 70s my folks would occassionally jazz up summer evenings by playing some 45s and dancing. Neighbors would hear, bring food and more 45s and we'd have a party. People would call friends and a couple of times the party spilled onto the street, becoming a "block" event. Great fun, great times I had as a child watching and listening. Thanks for posting—it's good to revisit the days when physiques and hair & clothing styles were so attractive.
That's right, no muscle tone, no worries about second helpings, and let's all eat red meat and have a nice smoke afterwards....Vietnam was still winnable and these women were outta control sexy!
@25Lode No,it was more that people looked that way,and even people who worked out didn't bulk up so much they could hardly move.I guess it was a lack of steroids in common use,and none of those insane super bulking protein diets. It was ok to look normal instead of like some kind of cartoon character.
@25Lode No, there's all kinds of muscle tone there; it just doesn't show through all that all-natural womanhood, as one other poster put it. The idea that one has to be totally ripped to have muscles is a modern misconception. They'd have to have some pretty well-developed muscles to shake it like that. Look up some belly-dancing videos for proof.
@TheRisingforce2000 In case you'd like to crawl out from under that rock bubba- The Dunes was one of the most famous places in the Post War world. The first hotel/ casino in Vegas and crawling with movie stars. the Rat Pack, wiseguys, etc. It was Vegas, baby. The Dunes came down in a controlled explosives demolition, what, ten to fifteen years ago? It went to make room for some silly "Vegas for Families" thing.
Check out "Go-Go Girl" documentary - see the teasers featuring Tiffany Trenda a college student by day and professional go-go dancer by night on YouTube at youtube.com/user/mydogspotproductions.
One of the dancers towards the last is Nancy Czar who also appeared in Winter A-Go-Go approx during this same time period! As far as I know, she's still alive and is an animal advocate of some sort.
This is so SpongeBob worthy,....

I love how no one had any muscle tone back in the 60's. Gyms were just for boxing kangaroos and weird vibrating belts.
