  • The London Blues scene was great. So may excellent bands. Moody Blues, Yardbirds, Stones, Garry Farr.. too many to remember

  • not as good as The Coasters but I like it better than Elvis' version

  • These guys were awesome. I saw a "concert" they did at some nasty dive in London when I was on leave from the Army. It was, to be polite, a riotous occasion. I fell in with some British Army guys also on leave from Berlin and we basically drank the bar dry then wrecked the place. Quite interesting too that a least three of the band members helped us clean up the pub after we realized how much stuff we had broken. Then we all got knackered again. I woke up in the alley out back much later.

just not their best track, the Sect made some killer tunes, this isnt one of them.

still, it's WAYYYY better than a lot of it's contempories, and a phat tune none the less.

  • Good stuff, is that a Gibson Thunderbird the bass player is using?! Have to say, I am not a fan of this kind of music, but this lot sound better to me than the Beatles! Sorry!

  • Oh my God,

This brings back so many memories. Remember going to see the Downliners in London at th 100 Club, they were great, I have many photos. Don, you havent changed that much. My friend and I used to go every Sunday to watch them. Great.........

  • sooo many years ago. Was the 100 off of Charing Cross Road opposite leicester Sq. tube. I remember sitting on the edge of the stage in front of the "young" lead guitarists amp. Long John Baldry and keith richards guesting. John Baldry got a very un PC welcomr regarding his sexuality. Singer had 2 penguins, Victoria and Albert? did I dream all this

  • @nchfgy11 ...you must remember the Last Chance Saloon then at Tottenham Court Road End..I saw the downliners at a little basement club in Great Newport Street, Can,t remember the name now..
