  • love the easy stuff... thanks -- will try it

  • honey losts all vitamins in hot water...it should be added to water when it has max 50° C

  • if your are diabetic, put palsey instead of honey

  • WTF man.....all that ginger wasted wtf.....just use a spoon to peal the skin off.....>_>

  • It's much easier to just GRATE the ginger instead if slicing it.

That way, you only need a very slight amount of ginger to make a strong flavor (so you're saving a LOT of the ginger for later use), and the tea is ready much, much faster. Trust me, this is much more sensible. I use the smallest grate units personally.

  • uummm, it totally works i do it all the time. it's not ginger water, try it, you'll see

  • Hmm...thats just hot ginger water. Where's the tea?

  • maybe something for my sore throat im gonna give a try hope it helps!

  • I use a Bodum French Press and I just keep the ginger skin and I like it without any honey nor sweetners.

  • Thanks Kevin for this video, I will for sure make it this way, however, I read on the internet that you have to boil it for 10 minutes? Yours is an easier way. Thank you.

  • Now I like the way you instructed how to make tea. One lady suggested to leave the skin on the ginger, and just wipe it to clean it!

  • Nice video and straight to the point. Thanks. :D

  • nice video

ive been curing myself with teas for my cold instead of taking medicine, first i had ginger and garlic tea for a day, then just went to straight ginger teas, and taking honey as you would a cough syrup, and tbh im getting better faster than when i rely on cold and flu medicine..natural healing is the way to go :)

  • DAMN, you put ALOT of ginger in it..

  • ginger tea is good for heartburn and indigestion. i'm about to make me some. thanks for the video

  • I don't think the flovour really infuses after five minutes - I've also got a video on ginger tea.. we leave it for four hours and it has a really intense flavour. anyway thats what i like.

  • nice vid! plus, your very handsome

  • Kevin, are you the same Kevin Rose that was on G4 TV back before the show was named Attack of the Show? I noticed you said your friend Lori dropped some things by for you. Is she the same from the former Tech TV show? And nice tea. I should try that sometimes myself.

  • Your knife skills make me cringe. Just kidding. But the easiest way to peel ginger is with a spoon. Also, lemon zest is a great addition. Don't actually zest the lemon but peel the skin with a potato peeler. Try to not get any of the pith (the white part), it's bitter.

  • nice recipe! If you dont have time, try gingerlove a delicious hot gingerdrink, spicy and fruity.

  • Good job.

  • This is awsome thanks. Great with honey :)

  • i did not see any tea there, more like a sweet ginger water

  • @bxzh tea doesnt always have to consist of tea leaves.

  • @bxzh Ginger tea, a tisane.

  • @bxzh You rode the short bus I'm guessing. Expecting ham in your hamburger too I suppose?

In fact... the above IS "ginger tea"

  • @bxzh you and 8 other people are shit heads

  • I like to add, fresh ginger, half a fresh chilli, honey and a star anise, leave it for 10 minutes to infuse.

you can remove the chilli seed to give less ba da bing..

  • good is also to add a little of lemon juice :)

  • you speak very well. i've been looking for a tutorial just for visual reassurance, so thank you for sharing. =)

  • revision3 should have:

    Tea time with Kevin

  • lol funny yet logical idea

  • It's a great tea but you should not lie to people by saying that adding some honey it will make the tea sweeter because the actual taste is quite bad but it's worth the effort.

  • I actually don't like it with honey cause i find the taste to be really nice on its own... :)

  • Hi Kevin -

Ginger is a phenomenal and powerful herbal medicine. Just some of its effects are: anti-inflammatory and pain reducer, anti-oxidant, digestive system health, anti-nausea, anti-parasitic, anti-ulcer, thermoregulation etc. The preparation method I recommend is; 1st use edge of spoon to scrape off skin (knife removes too much ginger), cut off chunk and grate using a ginger grater with well to catch the juice. Pour the fresh juice (& squeeze the pulp) into a cup of hot water. Voila!

  • Dude, please learn how to hold and cut things before you hurt yourself...

  • dude.....just make a tea show on rev3

  • it's not actually ginger tea I think.

  • technically, yes, but people tend to call anything that they steep a tea.

  • you're right, it should be called a tisane. anything without tea leaves is defined as such, but most people don't use that terminology, unfortunately.

  • could it also be a herbal infusion or the fact that it is not a herb effect anything technically?

  • i have a cold and decided to try this. followed directions and used a bit of honey. i like it better than green tea.

  • good stuff here..i just made some...GO MIAMI DOLPHINS

  • For the record, this is also a great hangover cure. Awesome video!

  • i tried this, and it is awesome!

  • CTRL ALT CHICKEN?

i might try this next time i have some ginger in.

    keep the videos coming kevin,

im looking forward for diggnation tonight (im in uk so ill have to wait until 11pm)

  • Thanks kevin.I drink too much wine for my own good.I'll try tea later on today.

  • How does ginger tea taste like?

  • Seemed a bit off beat, but thax Kev

  • Watch out for your fingers Kev. The way you were holding the ginger while cutting looked like a recipe for disaster. You can't go milking spider teats without them thumbs ya know. :)

  • just made some.. bloody brilliant... feel like a million bucks (add a lil lemon juice to it too - wala!)

  • I might just have to go to the store and get me some ginger.

  • Wheres the tea? That's ginger water to me...

  • whatever happened to that ctrl-alt-chicken cooking show?

  • canceled :-(

  • He and Alex. That would be assome!

  • I have made this before. It's really good for your stomach and I always feel it refreshes me as i drink it.

  • Haha, even Hippie Glenn wouldn't know how to make this.

  • I love fresh ginger tea when my throat is feeling sore. The stronger, the better. But somehow when my mum makes it for me, it's just a million times better than when I make it myself. It's strange and magical, a mum's touch. :)

  • This looks great! I just may try this out. Thanks for the video!

  • Is this the Food Channel? oh i must be some where else......

  • Not a big fan of tea but Kevin just might be changing my mind in regards to that, I'll hafta try this one.

  • Brilliant. Now put your helmet back on.

  • hahaahh totally agree!!

  • You don't even know who Kevin Rose is, do you? Or are you a Calacanis supporter? Screw you.

  • If only I could find my Paddington Bear...

  • Holy crap this thing is delicious.

  • ps you took alex's idea about the whole cooking show thing.

  • OMG get better kevin!!! i love you kevin, i love tea too!

  • I may try this. I hope I don't choke to death on the chunks floating around in there.

  • sounds good, but then wouldn't there be chunks of ginger sitting in there? see that would stop me from drinking it.

  • Had some ginger in my fridge that we were just going to throw out so I made some damn good tea. Thanks.

  • i hate tea lol haha cool video Kevin

  • awesome! thanks!

  • Hmm..looks interesting. I'm thinking of getting into the tea world myself. Any good resources?

  • I'm looking into the same thing. Any resources that got you good information when starting out?

  • wait, where is the tea? is it just hot water, ginger and honey?

  • nice kevin, and who cares about being first comment!? haha whatever.. but yeah, i need to make some tea..

  • first, you are awesome kevin rose.
