I went on the 19th August. I have wanted to go for as many years as I can remember. I was very disappointed. I paid £117 for two tickets & a programme. So called best seats.
Stay at home and watch it on the BBC or even here on YouTube, the sound is much better.

@tenchinatent That's bullshit, it was fucking amazing live, i also got my trip up there, accommodation, tickets, meals etc for £55 it was totally worth it.

@tenchinatent We were there on the 18th and our tickets (centre 3 rows up) cost 35 quid each. Amazing event...video footage or TV doesnt do it justice, and this is coming from someone who thought 'Meh' about going.

As somebody who hasn't been upto the tattoo this year can I ask anyone who has who are all the people running round on the esplanade before the pipes and drums enter. I pressume this is the opening as I can see the marines marching off from what I imagine was the opening fanfare? Just wondering ho the crowds are can't imagine they are audiene members?????

What a great show, was there myself for the first time and made a film of about 18 min. we were there during our scotland holiday on friday night the 12 th of august and we had a great time, now back in holland te work:(
