I played WAR in beta and I'm thinking of starting playing it, I don't have a clue when it comes to which class to roll. Can auto facing be disabled btw?
I've also played WAR since beta. I don't see myself as some kind of "guru" in any way but I have yet to experience any situation with any archtype (and I've played them all) where I would not want to not face the target, be it a friend or a foe, while casting a skill/spell.
That was a great day, we had some nice skirmish going on. I play a slayer myself too, we've actually met a few times in T2 and T3. The character name is Ragothurr and I've managed to get on your video at 2:56 :P.

That's too bad, as I'd love to have a small, vertical bar for my health and AP. You have a very sleek UI, by-the-by, especially for one that doesn't come pre-packaged, so to speak.

Are you sure? Cause my xHUD is perfectly up to date. Have you taken a look in the "Texture" option in the /xhud menu? There should be somthing called "Fuzzy vertical" and "Fuzzy horizontal" which will make the archs appear as mine does.

You can of course go about it that way. Altough I think alot of players could max their dps to diffrent levels if they tweaked their gameplay abit.
Also there is the tactical choices of knowing when to go in, where to go in and how to go in. You also get some debuffs/groupbuffs which, when used correctly, can benefit not only you but your entire party.
So I've found the slayer to offer me quite enough tactical choices! : )
If you go into a T1 rvr zone and have a higher rank than 11 you'll be turned into a chicken. The SH in the beginning of the vid had done so and then made his way to Helga, the great cannon at the dwarf starting-area.
i use power through on my 2hand renown73 slayer and i think it's really kinda useful i guess. did you used this tactic by yourself?
