  • is that everything that you get with the safari kit? i am in two minds between this and the smartflash 200, i like the idea of 600w over 150w and that is so portable. how much does the battary weaigh? are the function controls on the battrie? how long does the battry last? sorry for all the questions.

  • @uplift20

The two systems are very different. The smartflash will keep you indoors, the Safari will take you outdoors.. Great in summer! The Smartflash is 200Ws perhead not 150 btw...

The battery itself is around the size of an early 1990s mobile phone and slots into a place behind the sliding flap as shown. Plenty of light shapers can be ordered as you need them. It weighs 4.7KGs with the battery

  • @uplift20 All you do is order the lightshapers that you need. Lots of different combinations are possible.

The battery is about the size of an early 1990s mobile phone and will give around 1000 full power shots from a full charge. I do recommend the Safari location case, great for getting the kit to location.

I will have a new video up soon..

  • @SoundsandImages Thanks for the tips, i thinking of getting the Safari kid, cost a lot more than i wanted to send but i like the portability. Have to wait a little bit longer too. Looking forward to your vid on how to use the kit that should help me before i invest. the photos on your website helped me decide, like the one with you and the bike and that thing that looks like a gun.

  • @uplift20 As soon as the weather permits I will do a new video. The investment you make, will transform your photographic possibilites.... I have taken delivery of a fishing tackle trolley for getting it around.

So you have had a look at myt flickr page, thanks for having a look.. The gun thing you mention is actually a musical instrument and is one of my didgeridoos.

I used the lights very briefly at a ploughing match yesterday and one pic is on Flickr..

    Cheers for dropping by..

  • Fascinating. Will have to go find you on FB to view the photos!!

  • Top looking kit. I look forward to seeing some shots!

  • @russetsprint Thanks, didn't have much time today before the rain came in.. So a quick shot outside, which is on FB and Flickr.. Along with a cross flash setup with one head behind me and one infront. Rear light had an orange gel on it..

will have some more as soon as the weather clears.. Might even be an Austin Healey
