Hey everyone. If you don't think that Universalism or the Gospel of Inclusion are real, read 1 Timothy 2:1-6 KJV. Here you will read that God "WILL have ALL men to be SAVED and come to the knowledge of truth". 1 Timothy 4 around 9-10 KJV says that God is the "Savior of ALL men, especially those that believe". In Colossians 1:18-20 KJV we see that Christ died to "reconcile ALL things" to God. Colossians 3 KJV tells us that "Christ is ALL, and in ALL" You can't argue with that!
Grace is unmerited favor. None of us deserve his favor but he gives it to us all. He made us all out of the same lump of clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. You will find this in Romans.
What is so beautiful about this book overall, especially the circumstances surrounding it, is that both the secular and religious culture represented by their respective publishing institutions arecluelessto what they call the niche. It goes to show that society, obviously, doesnt truly know the heart of humanity and what is completely tragic is that religion is possibly even more oblivious to what we are really looking for where God is concerned.
All the spin in the world will not change the fact that the god of "The Shack" is a false representation of the true and holy triune God of His own Word.
Thus, the lost soul who believes in Young's god is in danger of damnation unless the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached to him/her. Will the souls betrayed by lies and lost forever be thankful for your promotion of Young's damnable heresies?
God tells man who He is in His pure word which He has preserved forever (Psalm 12:6-7)
herongrove, how do you account for Jesus' warning about the judgement of the goats (Matthew 25)? His prophecy about those who will cry out "Lord, Lord" but who will cast into the lake of fire (Matthew 7:22-23)? And, of course, His warning that only a few find the narrow gate (Matthew7:13)? These are but a fraction of the prophetic warnings of God outside of Revelation. Revelation is yet to be fulfilled (Rev. 22:18-19).
Only those who repent and believe are spared God's wrath (John 3:36).
Everyone is included. Every race, creed, national origin, religious affiliation or no affiliation, every belief system or lack thereof is part. This comes without cost or pain to us, all because of the pain that cost Jesus Christ on the Cross.
Just a few quick question. What if the preponderance of human beings understood that they (and everyone else) had been eternally forgiven by Almighty Eternal forgiveness means just that, eternal, forever.
herongrove, from a human point of view it is fair to give everyone eternal life in Heaven but from God's point of view it is not. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours and we cannot begin to imagine how holy and righteous He is, nor how infinitely loving and merciful He is. It is only the common grace of God, a gift to all men, that keeps the human race from living in total depravity. Without it, all men are truly evil and deserving of Hell. By His grace God saves a few for His own glory.
The doctrine of Christ is the one true religion and it does bring division because Jesus came to divide people.
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. "For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be the members of his household." (Matthew 10:34-36)
Jesus was under the Law (Old Testament or Old Covenant) until he died which he then fullfilled the Law. Now we are under the New Covenant which he asks us to drink in. So, most of the verses you sent me were under the Law (The Old Testament). We have been delivered from the Law.
Believers have been delivered from the Law, not unbelievers.
"But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter" (Rom. 7:6).
For Lawbreakers there is damnation:
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Rev. 21:8)
Jesus died for the world, sin was taken away at the cross. Please don't deny what happened at the cross. Get out of religion & get with Jesus. He is your only hope, you don't need religion. Jesus is not religious. God is waiting for you, not your religion.
herongrove, please don't ignore what Jesus taught about damnation. Read Revelation 20:11-15 and all His other teachings and accept the truth. Jesus is religious, His doctrine is the Word of God.
The Merriam Webster definition of the word "religion" is "the service and worship of God".
Those who reject salvation will be judged before the great white throne and "whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". (Revelation 20:`5). It is undeniable.
Did this movie come out after all? I don't recall seeing it at the theaters.

Yes, that is correct, herongrove. But, it is important to recognise that those who are made for dishonour will perish without salvation.

Don't you know that all of God's wrath was upon Jesus? Judgement Day happened at the cross, Revelation is an understanding, not prophecy!
