It's a real question. That meat stick has some kinds of spices, salt, capsicum powder, fennel seed. I think you mean the fennel seed. I am not sure the name in English. Maybe fennel or cummin seed, or Arsacid fennel. It is produced in mid Asia, Iran, Sinkiang in China. BTW the mutton was pickled with onion juice before roasting.

Some people pickle the meat with garlic and soy sauce, but not always, depends who you are talking to. The spice in the end is chilli powder (red) and cumin seed powder (Brown).

During the Han dynasty (100-200AD) Uzbekistan was a colony of China. The people there adopted Chinese customs and dress voluntarily because China was the most advanced civilization in the region.
