  • Great video. Thanks for the great and IMPORTANT tips.

  • great video.

  • Great job! Thanks for the help!

  • Very helpful. The processes described were extremely useful when I remodeled my basement. Thanks for all the good information and direction.

  • Is there no longer a Part Two & Three? :o(

  • What about the insulation i hear on mention about that.

  • very good info thank you

  • That was awesome. Thanks

  • very helpful!

  • Congratulations on a very well done video, with good details and easy to understand language. Thanks.

  • Thank you, I am a first year apprentice and this was very helpful.

  • Really one of the best drywall videos on youtube. Wish I would have found it sooner.

  • What if the side wall is 24 inch not 16 can i still use 1/2 inch drywall or do i need 5/8

  • Very very informative!! Thanks!!!

Why is it preferred to install upper wall then lower? I thought the lower wall is better installed first so as to be a support for the upper wall?

Is thicker wall always preferred when financially allowed?

  • @JasonECI

you put the uper wall first to make avery thing nice and snug up top and to tighten up and cover up all the gaps you may have in youre ceiling dytwall

and then the botom one to leave you a 1" gap for floring or carpet

  • WOW!!! Very helpful!!!!!

  • verey good, thanks

  • 12 footers is usually the way to go - as you said, ceiling a bit under 8' and closet 49" = 12'. no need to buy assorted sizes for one job except for the 54" if you need them. you're getting there pal but you still have a lot to learn to be a true drywall pro!

  • why not order 9footers for that 8ft3in wall?

  • easier to use a 21" piece somewhere rather than a 9" piece

  • Different thickness" of drywall comes in several different lenghts. 9' isn't an option.

  • Damn man that was the most informative and easy to follow video ive seen on youtube. Congrats. Not sure about the ordering of differenct lengths of board though

  • Hey this guy looks kind of like the medic in team fortress 2

  • That was well done......screw the haters commenting on here. They are probably the ones taping 16 ft of rock vertical...or horizontal because they would use 4x8 sheets for 9 foot ceilings. Keep it up with the vids. Thx

  • what a load of bollocks, all your doing is making a easy job harder, just order 1 size of board,by the time you have measured that up i would have tacked a room already.and when i get on the job i am not looking at the driveway.

  • lol I was thinking the same thing. chts not Rocket Science.

  • I can't find the second part, is it uploaded yet?

  • that was very helpful...

  • Anybody know how to put it against brick?

  • drywall glue

  • @superfly1001978 yeah its actually not that hard. If its and interior brick wall you can glue the drywall to it. but if its an exterior brick wall, with the other side being exposed to weather, you will have to frame up something to screw the drywall to and keep the drywall off the brick because of moisture purposes.

  • This was an excellent video on drywall. Exactly what I needed.

  • Well done Myron, that was perfect. You the man!!

  • What's that? Is he in a building or is this a cardboard box? Is houses in the USA really build like that?

  • whats an illegal contractor?

  • 5 stars!

  • Wow finally someone that explained why drywall is done by contractors horizontally rather than the old vertical standard I'm used to - saves time by less waste and less taping but we all know it's not necessarily stronger having a seam between studs with no backing. I've been wondering for a long time why the change lately to horizontal installs, now I know. Thanks I can tell you are a serious professional watching your video.

  • yea he knows his stuff....but on that wall that was over 8 ft...i would order 12 ft for the whole house just avoid that and to be safe

  • Hi myron these videos are quite good and helped me a lot so thanks and pleeze hang some more ones ;)

  • Very good video!

  • wow, that explanation was great/ it would be great if you made more videos, thnks alot/

  • Finally! Something produced professionally that makes sense.
