i think based on last performances DA should won but from overall DC should won because of his past experience. so basically DA or DC could won but i think DA losing it just because of his age and less experience

Interestingly David C. didn't perform any of his previous songs. I know the producers put pressure on him to perform BJ again. I think he was sensitive to the early criticism (which was amazingly idiotic from rank and file haters). BJ remains the single most Brilliant performance on American Idol history, possibility the best live performance on any show this year. David A. is a true prodigy but hands down David C. was the best artist and performer. Congrads to both. Special thanks to BIG2RATZ.

Well said. I don't know what more he could've done with "Billie Jean" though, except maybe the full version with a few more high notes... but I think it was perfect in its original form. I don't know how I feel about the song he chose, but he was definitely the best performer this season, and completely deserved the win. =]

Yeah the finale..my heartfelt thanks to big2ratz for being the amazing person he/she is. so happy for david cook for his victory...in fact they are both winners and im sure that both of them will have a bright and eventful career...simon cowell amongst the judges was the best and the very truthful one..i always cant wait to hear his verdict on every performance..hes the one that counts i believe

Remember the AI commercial durng Hollywood week? Cook was features singing the last notes of Bryan Adam's Everything I do.

The judges were obviously for Cook more often. They only said their critic on the last performance night as a reverse psychology, to awaken Cook fans.

Simon was on the spot when he retracted from his not-so-good comments on the performance of David Cook. But he was right when he said, "If American Idol were to remain a talent competition, you (referring to David Cook) could win the competition." Indeed, American Idol remains a TALENT competition. David Cook is original, a risk-taker, and a talented singer. He deserves to win. If you would listen back at the finale's performances, Archuleta's performance was not that good (or better),really.

Best season ever!!! Both David's gave their all to be the winner. Whoever wins the competition deserves it, whether or not its Cook or Archuleta.
