i wana know why tire shines (any brand) leave a brown dusty/dull looking residue on the sidewall after the shine has worn/washed away...i know its not the degreaser i use because i never had this problem before..i wud always spray on some degreaser and wash it off for a clean black look like you've been driving in deep snow for a few hours...then i used tire shine one day and got a brown residue like 2 weeks later and now i cant get the bullshit off my sidewall without scrubbin it to death
@racer650ex The brown residue you refer to is actually a protective wax like ingredient formulated into the tire rubber to prevent ozone attack, which cracks sidewall rubber. As you drive this wax ingredient bleeds out of the tire to prevent cracks. New tires will develop the residue faster. As the tire ages, it will not be as prevalent. I’m unaware that a tire shine will bring this residue out faster. ICE All Wheel and Tire Cleaner will help alleviate hard scrubbing.
@TurtleWaxTommy well here in Australia its extremely expensive compared to Meguairs etc. ive brought all the Turtle wax ice products avaliable here in Aus everything was good in terms of easy to use and shine but it was not great considering all the hype.
if you want to make your car shine use turtle wax, if you want to make it glow use Meguairs
ROFL @ precision control! I apply this stuff to the tires, go drive around, and then wash the car in that order. Recommend you NOT use this stuff in the driveway. If you already have you remember exactly why not to every time it rains. I swear to "insert religious statement or figure" that it lasts on the driveway for an eternity.
@t436. So. it's just a damn driveway. You drive on it. Why do you care? Is everything around your place spic span and it complete order? Do you sanitize the door handles everytime they are used? Bleach your toilet everyday and make sure that your Kitchen floor is so clean that you could literally eat off of it? Scrub the entire house if someone didn't remember to take their shoes off? Oh nooo some tire shine on the driveway the apocolypse is here. Nooo!!
good shine and last longer than store brands but takes longer to apply and costs more . if you work at a car wash i don't think you have 15 minutes to apply tire shine like it's a operation also you will need to wash the brush after use because it is socked in tire shine
I bought this thursday and put it no my car in friday, today is monday and the shine is exactly like when i put it, in the morning rain, did i recommended it?? ABSOLUTELY HELL YEAH!!
@tolow16 dealers dont take much care of their cars at all lol. i work at a detailing shop and most of our clients are dealer cars that are brand new and need swirls removed and paint correction. these cars come right off the showroom floor to us, and the difference is amazing.
@Long stuff, like glow in the dark? o.O

@GranFury440 it stains the driveway. 2 years and I still see where I shined the tires when it rains.

@t436. So! And? Like I said it's a driveway, you drive on it. Why do unimportant stains matter to you? Your driveway isn't a shirt.
