  • @Imachowderhead coz he was born there but later he went to bodhgaya in india and got knowledge under a Bodhi tree. u can hear all nonsense that he was not born in Nepal but he was born in Nepal. ^ ^

  • @laSangy So how do you know he was born in Nepal? were you there? Im just stating that due to new evidence he may have been born there, plus there was no such thing as Nepal at the time of Buddha...Just a possibility....

  • I hardly knew god buddha was born in Nepal anyway thanks a lot for the knowledge!

  • nice vid

  • In those time Nepal was called "Kiratdesa". The term "Nepal" only starts from 4th century BC.

During the Buddha period, there were many tribes ruling the various region. Shakya tribe(whom Buddha was born into) was ruling the Kapilavastu region.

During the Gupta Empire, many tribes were were rounded up and Sanskritize to form One Nation-->Bharat(India), with One language Hindi.

But Kiratdesa(Nepal) has always been a sovereign nation.

  • @diliprai Dilip this is nonsense, Hindi did not exist as formulised language in the Gupta period, it actually was formalised only a few hundred years ago, before that numerous local dialects originating from Saureseni Prakrit. Nepali is actually a form of Pahari.

  • @kumarsa108 Isn't it so funny that Indians always claim that Buddha was born in India. Neolithic tools found in the Kathmandu Valley, Dang and Sikkim proved that Mongoloid ethnicity have been living in the Himalayan region for past 10,000 years. The findings of these neolithic tools can be found on

---> "Archaeological Activities in Nepal Since 1893 AD To 2002 AD" by Prakash Darna

Indians are NOT Mongoloid race so how come they even think of owing Nepal and Buddha.

  • @TaMaGuRaLi Is it funny or just somones insecurity? There were humans in India (i.e. the subcontinent) tens of thousands of years ago, yet there was no Nepal or India then. There certanly was no Nepal or Republic of India at the time of Siddhartha.
