You'd think that in one, just ONE of the thousands of images taken of deep space we might see God stick his head in the frame and smile....
But no matter how many light year's distance we peer, we see only galaxies, galaxies, galaxies....... COUNTLESS galaxies.... No Gods... just space....
Every time our eyesight improves, God's ability to hide increases proportionately.
Here's my question phil: If you don't believe in God, why spend hours disproving Him? I don't believe in unicorns. Guess how much of my life I spend trying to dissuade others of the same belief? Zero. Absolutely none of my free time is spent regarding anything I don't believe in. The problem with atheism is it's just as hypocritical as any religious person. If you don't believe, WHY DO YOU CARE THAT OTHERS DO!?
@a866903 A belief in unicorns does not lead one to flat-out disregard science or to hurt others for no logical reason. Of course, a belief in God doesn't do that on its own, either--which is why most atheists are content leaving folks alone. Some, however, see the connection, however minor, and cannot help themselves. The reasoning being that by disproving God, they can prevent anyone from using religion as a sword. I dunno if that's bad, but such debates do occasionally lead to good results...
I have always loved your work, Phil! (this one is worth redoing... The audio is terrible and we're all used to such better quality out of you. Consider re-visiting the recordings!)
Topic and points are spot on, as per your usual work. Great job all around save for a few technical qualities.
this cant be right...ima rightwingconservativechristianteabagginbirther and i know this cant be right...because A : GOD told me so and B: everyone knows the earth is only 6000 years old....not millions....silly....shheeeesshh....
The Human brain is far more complex than any machine built by man, there is someone out there with greater intelligence than ourself. Have you ever noted even the function of the eye??? How in God's name are you going to get that from simple atoms mixing and since YOU APPARENTLY know how we were formed, go ahead, MAKE SOME HUMANS from simple atoms, we have atomic energy which can possible aid in your experiment
@infinit888 Sorry to say, that what you say now is definately incorrect. The function carried out by the brain, multitasking, interpretation sending messages, cannot be copied by any human invention the same way the brain carries it out, ESPECIALLY the internet. IT cant carry out the function of chemorecognition the same way the brain does and at the same time photorection while merging sensitivity (touch) and interpret all as one complete command the same way the briain does.
@MrSERVANT777 "The function carried out by the brain, multitasking, interpretation sending messages, cannot be copied by any human invention the same way the brain carries it out"
Did anybody claim it can? There are a lot of things computers can do and humans can't. Neither means the one or the other is 'complexer'. The internet is complexer because it has more parts, more connections, processes more data has a bigger storage capacity than the brain, etc. We need more bits to describe it.
@infinit888 The above functions are just a few of the many carried out, some can be manipulated, but YOU MUST admit that none can carry them out with effeciency and likeness to the brain.
@MrSERVANT777 We have actually already created photorection, chemorecognition and touch sensors far superior to those we have. What we don't have is a program which analyses the data in a meaningful way for the machines themselves but then again like already pointed out uniqueness does complexity not make.
My point is prove that there is a God and you can in no way know more than Him, so that's where I start. One thing in life we are sure about is that we are ALL going to die [true], this means that we won't stay here forever, since that is the Case, what is the purpose of life?? why are we here? [ E=mc-2 cant solve that]. This thing called wrong and right, morals, where did that standard come from. [post comtinues above]
The details you speak of..........must I say that your view is totally on a physical basis. What the bible speaks of is geared mostly in a spiritual path, so you won't see things like E=mc2 because that is not something that is spiritually discerned, there's much more I could say, I'll expand more when i get the time.
@MrSERVANT777 Uttery useless babble. The bible clearly states a creation story that is ridiculous and impossible. If the bible supposedly has nothing to say about physical matters--apparently being geared towards some undefined "spiritual path" (whatever that means)-- then I await your explanation why it spent so much time on the subject. What miraculous spiritual enlightenment does the bible have to offer? Suicidal zombie war gods such as Yahweh/ hey, zoos? Are we to be impressed with that???
Just wait. Wait for the ones that reach out looking for answers. The ones that ask questions. The doubters, the skeptics. Eventually perhaps the rate of people finding logic and reason will exceed the ones being indoctrinated by ignorance and lies. Perhaps we'll live to see that day. Hope we do.
Don't you just love how religious fools just keep spouting their nonsense? This 88tuner guy is pretty dim. Shame for him. I suppose it's just too much for some people to accept that they are just not very important in the grand scheme of the universe. Whereas I know in my heart that we are just lucky bacteria.
@88tuner so let me get this straight, you believe in a man, who supports racism, homophobia, kills teens that dont honor mommy and daddy, wants people to kill each other if they dont agree, and killed his own son? That "god" of yours is nothing more than a fucked up fairytale and bedtime story. Im 24 and i used to be a christian. I was in iraq and was shot at and saw my bestfriend bleed to death while he was crying and praying to god. Your just some ignorant, retarded, piece of worthless shit w
@SL4Y3R117 As a fellow atheist, I must say. You aren't fully correct. The only reason the bible says that, is because it is derived from some religion that Mesopotamians believed (a polytheistic one). But, many only wanted people believing in Yehway. The God of War. If you look at Christianities full roots (the Mesopotamians religion), it'd be more peaceful.
You assume you know more than God in this video. The human body alone is irreducibly complex and is essentially a bio-mechanical suit you wear through this story of life. In your pride you mock God. In His endless love for you, He offers you forgiveness. He's bigger than giving you what you deserve. Grace is unmerited favor. No of us deserve what he offers. Better read the Bible again as a witness and not a judge of what you cannot know or understand.
@88tuner I never felt his love and none of my prayers were ever answered. I wonder why... OH it's because he was never there at all! You tell me why the fuck you follow the words of men who lived thousands of years ago and knew nothing of math, science, genetics or really anything in general. They saw something unusual and gave it the credit of being that of a divine power. I think you need to open a science book and try and comprehend how un-fucking-believably small we are. There is no god...
You make a common mistake that many people make. You assume you are a judge when you are merely the witness. Life is about witnessing the story of your generation and then being a mirror. A mirror cannot reflect itself. This is true for God and it is true for you. He provides a way for your consciousness to see his reflection. It's a poor image, as only it can be. It points the way only. You are looking for a perfect image and you are mistaken.
You are looking at the entirety of the Bible and assuming the former stories are your story. They are there for you perspective. The events of the Bible are a record of God working in the lives of each generation at each point in history. You may think you are driving your own ship. In reality, you are driven, continually, in the right direction. Your choice to ignore the obvious work God does for you is your lot in life. The video you made only illustrates your poor choice.
You assume that birds fly, but I assume they are flown. You assume that fish swim, but I say they are swum. God does not reveal Himself so much as He is discovered as we move through a fixed story. The point of life is not the passing dream of reality or what you perceive as gained or lost. Walk with God or walk alone is the point. All else in the Bible is commentary on this. You choose pride, or you simply trust God for all provision via choice and thought as he orders your steps.
It's very disappointing that there is a video here on youtube of a baby panda sneezing that has racked up nearly 100 million views, yet videos like this one, with depth, meaning, understanding, and purpose go nearly unnoticed. I believe I speak for the few that loyally watch and listen to your videos when I say thank you. Thank you very much.
This video reveals the fact that we still choose pride. Despite the overwhelming obviousness of nature as a mirror reflecting a creator, Adam (man) chose, and still chooses the arrogant path. God waits patiently for us to grow up and take our place in the kingdom (universe) that awaits. A smart father. I would expect nothing less.
@88tuner Now, let me get this straight... He decides, based on a choice our supposed ancestors made before they were intellectually capable of making informed decisions, to make us learn about the universe for ourselves, then goes on to inspire someone to write the book of Genesis, which outlines an incorrect view of the universe...? You can't have it both ways. You're saying that he elected to (rather spitefully, I must say) make us learn for ourselves. So, is the Bible not divine, then?
The world is the Garden. The tree of knowledge of opposites (nature) is branching discovery. We reached out and ate, apart from God's plan. All scientific revelation has come from the Jewish people (Jewish Scientists). The list of major discoveries have come from Israel (The light of the nations). Better go back and read that book of Israel again. The Jewish people represent ALL the science we know today. God choose them to reveal his nature. Humility will open your eyes.
@88tuner Oh is that why Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians and keep developing the most advanced weapons ever seen? That does sound like God's work though, he's a pretty evil fuck.
Billions of possible worlds and you doubt God knows his business? In the garden, man was given a choice of teaching methods: His offer was to walk with Him and allow Him to reveal nature on His timetable, or choose the path of pride and go it alone. We choose to toil for enlightenment through the tree of self. You and I did not make that choice personally. No, we make it each day by the lives we live. We will not be released into the kingdom of God (universe) until we humble ourselves.
@Fredshersker Would God need to prove his existence? or talk about the rules he created? (I don't know how you just believe that physic rules were from nowhere) even so there's a lot of scientific evidencies on the Bible.
Spend an hour googling "E=MC2". If you find a word you don't understand, google THAT. Read and learn. Then come back and ask me where the energy came from. :)
@unbek4nnter Shut the fuck up and tell me 'the matter couldn't have always existed, but God must have always existed'. Try to make sense of that without lying to yourself.
@Thatguywithlogic Both are impossibilities. However, matter is seen to exist today. God isn't seen. He is believed in. Thus, we can say that matter, which is known to exist, could have always existed in some form (say, energy?), and feel less shame than saying that God always existed, and just happened to create matter many, many years ago. Before time...o.O I don' mind God, though. I mind people who want the Old Man in science. Scientists can be religious, and likely should be. Science cannot.
@lonanarcheya Scientists ought to be religious? I think there's a reason most scientists are Agnostic, if not Atheist. Knowledge opens the mind to more than just what our parents might teach us.
@Thatguywithlogic Religion is a force in culture. Some people could use a bit of culture in their lives. Einstein and Richard Dawkins both saw that one, even if one was at best a hopeful agnostic, and the other is a "militant" (funny, considering he never hurt anyone) atheist. You could say they are religious without the necessity of God or the supernatural.
@lonanarcheya Many countries, notably Sweden are mostly Atheist...Christianity and the like are dying and it's certainly not because they are failing. Sweden is one of the most developed countries in the world, definitely more so than the USA.
Religion is unnecessary...it doesn't contribute anything unique to the world other than false hope, which I suppose is a good thing at times but misleading yourself is an obvious consequence.
@Thatguywithlogic Could also be that religion, tempered with reason, can indeed be a source of good. Many brilliant men held some strange beliefs, and it had little impact on their lives, beyond giving them the lessons they desired to learn. Deists are an amusing example of religious thought that has little to do with religious insanity.
Cont: The people of his time. So they created a god to justify thier sick acts, and to explain natural events that could not be explained back then, but have been explained now by science. If you think about it this way. it makes perfect sense. If you still dont get it by now, You mind is seriously poisioned
@PinkYui16 : Believe me, I understand what you're saying. Many others have told me basically the same thing. But do away with the primitiveness that no longer applies, and the Bible makes perfect sense for today.
@SummerSunshine1988 Give me something from the bible, that makes moral sense for today, that can apply for everyone religious or not. Also be sure that this moral is something only your religion proposes and not something that is already part of any decent social society by default, also be sure to list the the verse. Go ahead. Show me how a book that claims the earth is flat, the stars are set in place, and that the earth is at the center of the universe, makes sense for today.
@PinkYui16 : First of all, the Bible does not in any way, shape, or form imply that the world is flat, nor do I recall anyplace where it says that the Earth is the center of the universe.
Second of all, there's nothing in the Bible that can't be believed by any breathing human being, but in terms of today's morals, one example is loving your enemy. It isn't always easy to do, but it's not impossible.
@SummerSunshine1988 In revelation 7:1. Jobs 38:13, and Jeremiah: 16:19, God refers to the earth itself, having four corners, and edges. Clearly claming the earth is flat, as no astronomical body has edges or corners, all planets are spherical. Secondly Loving your enemy is not a moral, It is a statement that defies human nature, And is yet another contradiction as in Deuteronomy 13:7-12. god commands all of his followers to kill all people who worship other gods (or in other words, his enemies)
@PinkYui16 : Those verses refer to the north, south, east, and west directions. Not corners as in the corners of a room.
The events in Deuteronomy took place before the time of Christ. Intolerance, while still sadly common today, was pretty much the standard back then before Christ's teaching of loving your neighbor. The law of Moses had to be fulfilled before the law of God could take effect.
@SummerSunshine1988 All i see here is a christian too afraid to admit they are wrong despite the abundance of evidence against thier belief, and lack of evidence to justify it. There in other verses clearly say north, south, east and west, But not in the verses i listed? Also keep in mind that there are stories within the bible that describe people falling off of the earth itself into "the void of stars" So far, you've yet to present any justification to your claims. Just vauge bible claims.
@PinkYui16 : I don't recall any verse where anyone "fell off the earth". References, please? And I am not denying anything. You have not convinced me. All of your evidence is circumstantial.
@SummerSunshine1988 Do i really need to open my bible yet again? Because it seems that everytime i do. You just end up convincing yourself that i must have understood it wrong. despite its obvious clarity. Hell, Screw my small arguments. True as they may be, there are tons among tons of videos right here on youtube that completely debunk your religion. The problem isn't that we have not provided proof. It's that when we do, it falls on deaf ears. While you still have zero proof of your claims.
@PinkYui16 : It's been my experience that one of the reasons people misunderstand the Bible is because they've taken the verses out of context. You've got to be very careful in that regard.
@SummerSunshine1988 Yet again, you are still not presenting proof of your claims. Out of context or not, the bible is full or primitive morals, and disproved geological claims. I know you are not dumb, and i know at some point in time, even if it was just once. You thought that something you may have heard in the bible had zero sense to it. So because of your belief you just got it into your mind that you and others took it out of context so that it would make sense. This is not the way to think
@PinkYui16 : I wish I could help you understand, but I can't. You have to figure it out for yourself for it to mean anything to you.
In terms of proof, I have experience as opposed to arguments. Experience holds more water. But in any case, I can tell you to check out ChristianAnswers[.]net, and 100prophecies[.]org. That'll start you off in the right direction.
@SummerSunshine1988 So, what you are saying is, in order to obtain proof on your claim, i would have to already have it in my head that god exists, and then pray to him for proof that he exists? thus nullifying the point of any valid evidence, as i would already have it in my head that he exists in the first place (thus my praying to him)? Ah i get it. you dont understand the concept of evidence, shame on me for not understanding, you already base your life on something with no evidence. i see.
@SummerSunshine1988 I was, and still am very open to the idea of a god. But just because i am open to the idea, does not mean i will believe in it by default. There is always a need for proof, If there is no proof. the claim will always remain a claim. I study both claims for both sides of the argument, And with an open mind. I see that there is more proof of a god not existing, than there is for one existing. Unless of course, you have proof you can present that would suggest otherwise.
@PinkYui16 : According to Romans 1, you already have all the evidence you need in order to believe. But check out the references I've given you to start you off in the right direction. The book is a tedious read, but very informative.
@SummerSunshine1988 I don't have any evidence otherwise i and many others would believe right now. You've read this book of yours. Give me a quote or something. Something that contains a valid argument, with valid understandable evidence for your claim. Surely if you are recommending this book to someone who has examined both sides of the argument, It must have extrodinary evidence. So, if you can; give me a statement that contains said evidence.
@PinkYui16 : No, chances are you probably wouldn't. People who saw Christ with their own eyes didn't believe in Him. But did you know that even Einstein believed in a higher power?
Lee Strobel was an atheist who set out to disprove God and wound up becoming a believer. It's been a while since I've read the book, and I can't find my copy, but Google it or YouTube it.
@SummerSunshine1988 Einstien, was raised religious but later on in his life he became an atheist, with many quotes against religion: One of the more famous being. "If we need the concept of a god to be good people, we are a sorry lot indeed".
Heres another interesting quote: "Any religion that says god is not hidden, lies. And any religion that does not explain why; does not instruct" Good quote eh? I forgot who that one is from. I hope mr.strobels arguments aren't the same thing i hear everyday
@PinkYui16 : Well, my copy of The Case for Christ has up and walked away. But a great website to check out about it is allaboutjesuschrist[.]org/the-case-for-christ
@SummerSunshine1988 Turns out theres an hour long documentary based on the book, Basically with different people saying that the bible is true because they had direct eyewitness accounts witness everything described in the bible, They did not however, give any evidence on the validity of thier claims and didn't show how they could have documented people who lived in the first century, or even if any of the apparent "eyewitnesses" claims were true. This is all common to me. I've seen this before
@SummerSunshine1988 you should have some kind of proof as a believer that your beliefs are true, book or not, If not then you have no right to say you are true. I still have yet to hear of you, or anyone else give me proof. yet there is so much proof for non belief
@PinkYui16 : I've given you many resources to do your own research. In terms of my own personal evidence, one of the non-biblical things that convinces me personally is the fact that things have happened, even in my own family, that cannot be explained by Earthly means.
@SummerSunshine1988 Nope, everything can be explained, and i mean everything. It does not have to be subjected to religion (just like rain was back in the old days)
@PinkYui16 : All right, lets test that. A woman and her children are walking home from the park. A large dog jumps a fence and lands right in front of them, growling and snarling, and lunges for them. The woman says a prayer, and the dog freezes in mid-air, and they get home safely. Explain to me how a dog can freeze in mid-lunge by Earthly means.
@SummerSunshine1988 Something cant freeze or simply stop in mid air, furthermore, the time it takes to pray vs the time it take for a dog jumping at you, the dog will always get there first, unless said prayer only consists of a single word. so that story really doesn't fly with reality. I've seen cases where something bad is about to happen and the person escapes on instinct, but saying a prayer faster than a dog can jump at you, and then having said dog freeze in mid air until you get away?nah
@PinkYui16 : Doesn't have to be a five-minute prayer. Nor does it have to be spoken aloud. God responds when somebody thinks the word "help". The story I described to you happened to my own mother. I also have stories experienced by my grandfather and my aunt.
@SummerSunshine1988 Did they bring up those stories to you when you came to them with a question about your beliefs? Did you see any of it happen? And if it did happen (Which i strongly doubt) I still isn't evident proof of a god. There could be a god in the universe, even though there is no proof of one, But i'm 100% certain, that possible god, isn't the christian or muslim gods
@PinkYui16 : You better be 100% certain of that 100% certainty, because as of right now there is a very rude awakening in your future, my friend.
No, nobody told me these things when I asked questions. My mother has told me of that story since I was little, but not because I asked questions. I didn't voice any of my questions until I was older, around 16. And the story about my Aunt happened just a few months ago. She told me about it herself.
@SummerSunshine1988 Hell will never scare me because hell does not exist. Simple as that. The very concept of hell is yet another contradiction. AN all loving god would never allow such a place to exist. Sending people to eternal torture, no matter how good of a person they were; just because they didn't come to the assumption that god existed (without signifigant proof mind you). Is a sick tyranical law, No matter how you look at it.
@PinkYui16 : I knew we'd hit this eventually. The simple fact is that if you believe in a God who never has any judgment whatsoever, then you're looking at a screwed up version of God. Another simple fact is that the very nature of non-belief is a sin. It's one of those "if you're not for us you're against us" situations. You have two options: Heaven or Hell. Those are the rules.
@SummerSunshine1988 You can say that, But it will never erase the fact that it contradicts the loving and caring nature attributed to your god, It would have made more sense if it were claimed that Heaven was for good natured believers, hell was for evil people, and then possibly another realm for good people who were also non believers. But no it's either you believe in something with no proof. Or listen to what is proven and go to hell, Sounds like a dictatorship. Not the law of a loving god.
@PinkYui16 : You've got evidence. I've given you resources to do your own research. In any case, you aren't alone in thinking those things, but that's the way it is. You either believe or you don't, and if you don't, you cannot dwell with God. God would never force someone to be with Him who didn't want to be with Him.
@SummerSunshine1988 I've done alot of research on your side of the argument, especially since i used to be a christian. Done any research on my side? Carl sagan, richard dawkins etc You've based your like on a book, and stories that make no sense, You worship a god who is morally inferior to you, and has a description of a sick murderer (looking at what he commands and endorses). You can say anything you want about your god, But it'll never erase these facts.
@PinkYui16 : God has every right to take a life when He chooses. We all have to die at one point or another. Whatever form that takes is up to Him. God can see all the way through to the last day of eternity. By comparison, I cannot see past the end of my nose. God is morally superior to me, I am the one who is inferior. Like any good parent, God disciplines us when we disobey, but like any good parent, He is perfectly capable of being angry with His children and loving them at the same time.
@SummerSunshine1988 Again, A loving being would not have created hell in the first place, A place of eternal unimaginable torment, where people can go simply because they didn't believe. It's been fun. But i am sick of having to repeat myself. You aren't interested in learning anything about the reality we live in, as you're already past the point where you cant distinguish fact from fiction, and faith from evidence simply because of some family stories and an old book. I've made my point.
@SummerSunshine1988 God created satan with the full knowldege that he would betray him, and that hell would be created (Because apparently your god is all knowing and all powerful). Of course god could have bane it clear to everyone beyond a doubt that he existed, but he didn't. its all easily debatable, easily doubtable concept. People just cant imagine thier existences coming to an end, Thats all this really is.
@SummerSunshine1988 If you had done your research, and allowed yourself to step back for a second, and look at what happened so far (according to the bible) You'd see that this plan is trash, makes no sense whatsoever, and results in billions upon billions of souls suffering for little to no reason at all, But no, you've done no research on the other side of the argument, Because the religious mind cannot learn. It cannot possibly fathom it's beliefs being wrong. It simply cant handle reality.
@PinkYui16 : I've researched the other side. One of the problems with it is that it doesn't take care of the needs of the soul. Why do you think it is that the one thing nobody wants to hear during a phone call in the middle of the night that someone that they love is dead? It's because your soul knows that death is unnatural. Why do you think it is that so many specifically hate the name of Jesus Christ? Because their soul knows that He is real.
@SummerSunshine1988 Death is one of the most natural things in existence. No one nor anything can exist forever, Everyone and everything dies, There is an end to everything. This is exactly what i mean, People are afraid of death, so they turn to the concept of a god that promises afterlife for comfort. This changes nothing. One day you and i will cease to exist, its a part of nature. If you've done research you'd know this. Also no one hates your supposed "savior" we just see no proof of god.
@PinkYui16 : Exactly. Death should be the most natural thing to us. Yet if you go to a funeral home, everyone is weeping. It has nothing to do with being afraid of death, it's your soul knowing that it wasn't created to die. People do hate the name of Jesus Christ. Look around here on YouTube. For every video against Allah or Buddha, there are thirty against Jesus Christ. That kind of passion is never directed at nobody. In order to go ape over something, there must be something to go ape over.
@SummerSunshine1988 Your logic, is just... Not even passible in the sliightest. When people are in a funeral home, they could be crying for any number or reasons, Lonliness, depression, (because lets face it, those old people are not taken care of in those homes) they may have felt abandoned by whoever put them there. Either way, it has nothing to do with a soul, its all human emotion. Also there are videos against religion, not christ himself. and they are justified, as there is no proof.
@SummerSunshine1988 Again, its all human emotion, every expression is a product of human emotion. Next time you see someone crying in a funeral home, ask them why. i bet you'll get a story out of them, and not a vague "My souls knows it shouldn't die"
@SummerSunshine1988 I think the reason alot of people go "Ape" over Christianity, is because it is a religion that says that you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven without believing in Jesus Christ. To me that is very arrogant. I guess the bottom line is that Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Naturists, Witches, and assorted others are going to "Burn In A Lake Of Fire"...While all believing Christians receive the gift of Eternal Life, regardless of their actions?? LOL...
@pat52010 : The blood of Christ covers our sins, so that we can be saved. There is only one unforgivable sin, and as long as you don't commit it, you're pretty much okay. Our actions do count, though. An unrepentant heart doesn't stand much of a chance. But that also brings us to the miracle of God's mercy. God can bestow mercy on anyone He chooses.
@SummerSunshine1988 Oh and yes there is sexism in the bible. check Timothy 2:9 - 15. where god says: Women must learn in silence. Women are not to teach and not have
authority over men. Women must be silent. Adam was created first,
then Eve. A woman was deceived, but Adam was not deceived
@PinkYui16 : Ah. I see where you got confused. Check out Monica Dennington's videos concerning women's roles and women in the Bible. There are three of them.
@SummerSunshine1988 Really? Is that the best argument you can muster, after watching this video? (Which imo just busted religions butt with facts) Have you even afforded yourself the chance to think about what you believe in at all? Or are you just assuming that because you've been taught to, or fear hell? There HAS to be some explanable reason why anyone who lives in this age would believe in such nonsense (The likes of which has been disproved more times than i can count) Come on, Be serious.
@PinkYui16 : I spent a period of about three years questioning my beliefs, and have found nothing that effectively disproves what I believe. I do not fear Hell. The reason people believe in this "nonsense", as you call it, is because they allow the Holy Spirit to live in them.
@SummerSunshine1988 "nothing effectively disproves what i believe" Are you sure about that? I guess you must have just ignored everything science proved wrong about the bible, or even the contradictions in the bible itself, You must have also ignored that the god you worship is a sick being who endorses all sorts of violent acts. The evidence is all around you. You've just chosen to ignore it.
@PinkYui16 : There are no contradictions in the Bible. Anything that appears to be a contradiction can easily be explained through a little further study of the Bible. And most any one verse of the Bible can be backed up by another verse somewhere in the Bible. God is not sick or violent. The people of the Old Testament were a primitive people. Primitive behavior is what they understood.
@SummerSunshine1988 And with that, you've proven you have no idea what you are talking about. There are countless contradictions, One of the more famous being. In one verse god says, man will be judged not by his actions, but by his belief, and in another verse, god says the exact opposite, Which is why fundamentalist christians exsist today. Also in Leviticus 14, god endorses and commands animal sacrifice. In other verses he endorses slavery/sexism/mass killings/child abuse and rape.
@PinkYui16 : Animal sacrifice was demanded for the forgiveness of sins before Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, making blood sacrifice no longer necessary. God does not endorse sexism. I don't know where you're getting that from. Yes, He ordered entire cities to be wiped out. The wrath of God is never a pleasant thing to endure. The first thing you need to understand is that God is in charge. He makes the rules. If He decided to do it, it was right and justified.
@SummerSunshine Last time i checked, Having entire cities wiped out, and having people within killed as a result does not describe the charateristics of an all loving, perfectly moral being. But you are right about one thing, In your previous comment you stated that the people of biblical times were primitive, which is true,The bible has some very primitive morals. See that? Can you put two and two together? Seems that the god of the bible, has the same knowledge and morals about the world as..
lets see...the Bible has been around alot longer then your scientist as been around.
If you are so smart, just answer me this ... why if scientist are so smart about how and when we came about to this life...how come it took so long to invent electricity.
@Zeeebreee First of all, no one invented electricity, it is a naturally occurring force. What you are referring to is our ability to harness electricity for useful purposes and develop ways to generate our own. Now think about the concept of electric power from the perspective of an ancient person. To understand how to make a generator, one must understand the principles of energy, they must understand that heat, motion, and light all contain energy that can be used. Learning that takes time
this is so beautiful... a work of art!!! And you wrote it in 30 mins? i know all the facts you state ... but it was so refreshing to listen them in this format!!!!
you make very good points.... everyone should watch this video, are you on facebook?
@Chillincochillin gravity is the relations of electromagnetic bodies. The solar system is a large scale of an atom. Checkout,' fibonnaci's fractals'. O'yeah the God in the old T. is Elohim which is plural,Aliens made us. New T. God is the universal mind which the Elohim and all of creation are from. We will be one in the body of Christ/God. Think!
@chillincochillin christian don't understand their bible at all! Light means to see all that there is. Spirit is the force that is governed by consciousness(laws). Souls are fragments of that consciousness. The Universal mind gave spirit to the void so that it could experience itself as souls. Light gave us sight to see all that we are through the passing of time.
@philhellenes your point about light and God is valid to a point. God isn't light,God is universal order. If we can determine intelligence by it's level of ability to harness the laws of nature then what does that say about the laws themselves? If mans intelligence is determined by his understand, then the laws are a great mind.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Dude, since you know it all, where did light come from? You don't explain that, and Bible says god is light. You're affirming what's in there. Also, the earth was with out form and void, then light came into the picture. stuff was pulled together uniformly by gravity and light. Light's at the core of God's creation......Actually, since you're so smart, explain gravity (not its EFFECTS) but what it's essence is, go ahead, waiting, smart guy, c'mon, what it is? c'mon, waiiiting....(whistling)
@chillincochillin Light is made up of photons, packets of electromagnetic energy, that are emitted by electrons whenever the change energy states ("orbits") around the atomic nucleus. Light is energy. Light obeys the rules of electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. If "God is light" He can do nothing but bounce off things, be absorbed and emitted. He can ONLY travel in a straight line, and never experiences time. And children can play with Him, with mirrors.
@chillincochillin Thats an infinite tautology and anyway you miss by a country mile. As a scientist, gravity, light etc( E=MC2 can explain a lot of nature, and does) The big bang theory is in constant challenge as is all science. Not by creationists but by scientists, who love being proved wrong. And there is the rub for you. You cant prove science wrong, science has and continues to discredit creationist views. Simply, you believe, you close you mind and accept the stories fed to you as a child
@viosh When exactly. Just give 3 of the 5 examples when he contradicts himself. All I hear is a scientifically accurate explanation of how the universe began.
@redice1024 How can u say it's all scientifically accurate. You know for a fact? Scientist still debate the explanation of the universe and many say that the more we know the more we don't know. It's only idiots who say they know it all and hide behind complex terminology, they're the ones holding back discovery and exploration. Scientists are even re-thinking gravity now adays....or maybe your stuck there yourself.
@chillincochillin The only thing I agree with you on, is the more we know the more we don't know. Learning one thing often brings up more questions then answers. Other then that just chill out dude, I want to see a video with your opinions. Go ahead.
I do not know why did you made this video, or what is the point of it? Does it make you a god? I do not think so. The point of Genesis account is to show that God is the creater, it is writed in poetic language for people of that time to undearstand it. Do you think they would know what a simply thing as gravity is?
I will be praying for you, and i hope you realize how prideful and ignorent this video is.
@viosh. What exactly did he contridict? All I got from your comment was that your obviously very religious and don't want or care to understand how things really happened

If you don't believe, WHY DO YOU CARE THAT OTHERS DO!?
a866903 2 months ago
@a866903 A belief in unicorns does not lead one to flat-out disregard science or to hurt others for no logical reason. Of course, a belief in God doesn't do that on its own, either--which is why most atheists are content leaving folks alone. Some, however, see the connection, however minor, and cannot help themselves. The reasoning being that by disproving God, they can prevent anyone from using religion as a sword. I dunno if that's bad, but such debates do occasionally lead to good results...

MrSERVANT777 7 months ago
@MrSERVANT777 "The Human brain is far more complex than any machine built by man"
That's factually incorrect. The internet as a whole is far complexer than the brain.
infinit888 7 months ago
@infinit888 Sorry to say, that what you say now is definately incorrect. The function carried out by the brain, multitasking, interpretation sending messages, cannot be copied by any human invention the same way the brain carries it out, ESPECIALLY the internet. IT cant carry out the function of chemorecognition the same way the brain does and at the same time photorection while merging sensitivity (touch) and interpret all as one complete command the same way the briain does.
MrSERVANT777 7 months ago
* thats photo reception
MrSERVANT777 7 months ago
@MrSERVANT777 "The function carried out by the brain, multitasking, interpretation sending messages, cannot be copied by any human invention the same way the brain carries it out"
Did anybody claim it can? There are a lot of things computers can do and humans can't. Neither means the one or the other is 'complexer'. The internet is complexer because it has more parts, more connections, processes more data has a bigger storage capacity than the brain, etc. We need more bits to describe it.
infinit888 7 months ago
@infinit888 The above functions are just a few of the many carried out, some can be manipulated, but YOU MUST admit that none can carry them out with effeciency and likeness to the brain.
MrSERVANT777 7 months ago
@MrSERVANT777 We have actually already created photorection, chemorecognition and touch sensors far superior to those we have. What we don't have is a program which analyses the data in a meaningful way for the machines themselves but then again like already pointed out uniqueness does complexity not make.
infinit888 7 months ago

MrSERVANT777 8 months ago
@MrSERVANT777 Uttery useless babble. The bible clearly states a creation story that is ridiculous and impossible. @SL4Y3R117 As a fellow atheist, I must say. You aren't fully correct.

There is no god...
fallsgrave 10 months ago
You make a common mistake that many people make. You assume you are a judge when you are merely the witness. Life is about witnessing the story of your generation and then being a mirror. A mirror cannot reflect itself. This is true for God and it is true for you. He provides a way for your consciousness to see his reflection. It's a poor image, as only it can be. It points the way only. You are looking for a perfect image and you are mistaken.
88tuner 10 months ago
@88tuner "A mirror cannot reflect itself. This is true for God and it is true for you."
When did God stop being omnipotent...?
MrImmoli 6 months ago
You are looking at the entirety of the Bible and assuming the former stories are your story. They are there for you perspective. The events of the Bible are a record of God working in the lives of each generation at each point in history. You may think you are driving your own ship. In reality, you are driven, continually, in the right direction. Your choice to ignore the obvious work God does for you is your lot in life. The video you made only illustrates your poor choice.
88tuner 10 months ago
@88tuner what's the obvious part? You can't just assume things are obvious when more than 50% of people don't believe it
lalamonkeydude 10 months ago
You assume that birds fly, but I assume they are flown. You assume that fish swim, but I say they are swum. God does not reveal Himself so much as He is discovered as we move through a fixed story. The point of life is not the passing dream of reality or what you perceive as gained or lost. Walk with God or walk alone is the point. All else in the Bible is commentary on this. You choose pride, or you simply trust God for all provision via choice and thought as he orders your steps.

88tuner 1 year ago
@88tuner Now, let me get this straight... He decides, based on a choice our supposed ancestors made before they were intellectually capable of making informed decisions, to make us learn about the universe for ourselves, then goes on to inspire someone to write the book of Genesis, which outlines an incorrect view of the universe...? You can't have it both ways. You're saying that he elected to (rather spitefully, I must say) make us learn for ourselves. So, is the Bible not divine, then?
7Lord7Arthien7 10 months ago

HoLOLcaust 11 months ago
Billions of possible worlds and you doubt God knows his business? In the garden, man was given a choice of teaching methods: His offer was to walk with Him and allow Him to reveal nature on His timetable, or choose the path of pride and go it alone. We choose to toil for enlightenment through the tree of self. You and I did not make that choice personally. No, we make it each day by the lives we live. We will not be released into the kingdom of God (universe) until we humble ourselves.

@unbek4nnter Shut the fuck up and tell me 'the matter couldn't have always existed, but God must have always existed'. Try to make sense of that without lying to yourself.
Thatguywithlogic 3 months ago
@Thatguywithlogic Both are impossibilities. However, matter is seen to exist today. God isn't seen. He is believed in. Thus, we can say that matter, which is known to exist, could have always existed in some form (say, energy?), and feel less shame than saying that God always existed, and just happened to create matter many, many years ago. Before time...o.O I don' mind God, though. I mind people who want the Old Man in science. Scientists can be religious, and likely should be. Science cannot.
lonanarcheya 2 months ago
@lonanarcheya Scientists ought to be religious? I think there's a reason most scientists are Agnostic, if not Atheist. Knowledge opens the mind to more than just what our parents might teach us.
Thatguywithlogic 2 months ago
@Thatguywithlogic Religion is a force in culture. Some people could use a bit of culture in their lives. Einstein and Richard Dawkins both saw that one, even if one was at best a hopeful agnostic, and the other is a "militant" (funny, considering he never hurt anyone) atheist. You could say they are religious without the necessity of God or the supernatural.
lonanarcheya 1 month ago
@lonanarcheya Many countries, notably Sweden are mostly Atheist...Christianity and the like are dying and it's certainly not because they are failing. Sweden is one of the most developed countries in the world, definitely more so than the USA.
Religion is unnecessary...it doesn't contribute anything unique to the world other than false hope, which I suppose is a good thing at times but misleading yourself is an obvious consequence.
Thatguywithlogic 1 month ago
@Thatguywithlogic Could also be that religion, tempered with reason, can indeed be a source of good. Many brilliant men held some strange beliefs, and it had little impact on their lives, beyond giving them the lessons they desired to learn. Deists are an amusing example of religious thought that has little to do with religious insanity.

PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Believe me, I understand what you're saying. Many others have told me basically the same thing. But do away with the primitiveness that no longer applies, and the Bible makes perfect sense for today.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Give me something from the bible, that makes moral sense for today, that can apply for everyone religious or not. Also be sure that this moral is something only your religion proposes and not something that is already part of any decent social society by default, also be sure to list the the verse. Go ahead. Show me how a book that claims the earth is flat, the stars are set in place, and that the earth is at the center of the universe, makes sense for today.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : First of all, the Bible does not in any way, shape, or form imply that the world is flat, nor do I recall anyplace where it says that the Earth is the center of the universe.
Second of all, there's nothing in the Bible that can't be believed by any breathing human being, but in terms of today's morals, one example is loving your enemy. It isn't always easy to do, but it's not impossible.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 In revelation 7:1. Jobs 38:13, and Jeremiah: 16:19, God refers to the earth itself, having four corners, and edges. Clearly claming the earth is flat, as no astronomical body has edges or corners, all planets are spherical. Secondly Loving your enemy is not a moral, It is a statement that defies human nature, And is yet another contradiction as in Deuteronomy 13:7-12. god commands all of his followers to kill all people who worship other gods (or in other words, his enemies)
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Those verses refer to the north, south, east, and west directions. Not corners as in the corners of a room.
The events in Deuteronomy took place before the time of Christ. Intolerance, while still sadly common today, was pretty much the standard back then before Christ's teaching of loving your neighbor. The law of Moses had to be fulfilled before the law of God could take effect.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 All i see here is a christian too afraid to admit they are wrong despite the abundance of evidence against thier belief, and lack of evidence to justify it. There in other verses clearly say north, south, east and west, But not in the verses i listed? Also keep in mind that there are stories within the bible that describe people falling off of the earth itself into "the void of stars" So far, you've yet to present any justification to your claims. Just vauge bible claims.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I don't recall any verse where anyone "fell off the earth". References, please? And I am not denying anything. You have not convinced me. All of your evidence is circumstantial.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Do i really need to open my bible yet again? Because it seems that everytime i do. You just end up convincing yourself that i must have understood it wrong. despite its obvious clarity. Hell, Screw my small arguments. True as they may be, there are tons among tons of videos right here on youtube that completely debunk your religion. The problem isn't that we have not provided proof. It's that when we do, it falls on deaf ears. While you still have zero proof of your claims.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : It's been my experience that one of the reasons people misunderstand the Bible is because they've taken the verses out of context. You've got to be very careful in that regard.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Yet again, you are still not presenting proof of your claims. Out of context or not, the bible is full or primitive morals, and disproved geological claims. I know you are not dumb, and i know at some point in time, even if it was just once. You thought that something you may have heard in the bible had zero sense to it. So because of your belief you just got it into your mind that you and others took it out of context so that it would make sense. This is not the way to think
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I wish I could help you understand, but I can't. You have to figure it out for yourself for it to mean anything to you.
In terms of proof, I have experience as opposed to arguments. Experience holds more water. But in any case, I can tell you to check out ChristianAnswers[.]net, and 100prophecies[.]org. That'll start you off in the right direction.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 So, what you are saying is, in order to obtain proof on your claim, i would have to already have it in my head that god exists, and then pray to him for proof that he exists? thus nullifying the point of any valid evidence, as i would already have it in my head that he exists in the first place (thus my praying to him)? Ah i get it. you dont understand the concept of evidence, shame on me for not understanding, you already base your life on something with no evidence. i see.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : No, you don't have to have the idea already in your head. You just have to be open to the idea.
Also read "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago

SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 I don't have any evidence otherwise i and many others would believe right now. You've read this book of yours. Give me a quote or something. Something that contains a valid argument, with valid understandable evidence for your claim. Surely if you are recommending this book to someone who has examined both sides of the argument, It must have extrodinary evidence. So, if you can; give me a statement that contains said evidence.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : No, chances are you probably wouldn't. People who saw Christ with their own eyes didn't believe in Him. But did you know that even Einstein believed in a higher power?
Lee Strobel was an atheist who set out to disprove God and wound up becoming a believer. It's been a while since I've read the book, and I can't find my copy, but Google it or YouTube it.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Einstien, was raised religious but later on in his life he became an atheist, with many quotes against religion: One of the more famous being. "If we need the concept of a god to be good people, we are a sorry lot indeed".
Heres another interesting quote: "Any religion that says god is not hidden, lies. And any religion that does not explain why; does not instruct" Good quote eh? I forgot who that one is from. I hope mr.strobels arguments aren't the same thing i hear everyday

@PinkYui16 : Okay
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Turns out theres an hour long documentary based on the book, Basically with different people saying that the bible is true because they had direct eyewitness accounts witness everything described in the bible, They did not however, give any evidence on the validity of thier claims and didn't show how they could have documented people who lived in the first century, or even if any of the apparent "eyewitnesses" claims were true. This is all common to me. I've seen this before
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I saw that too. The book is better.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 you should have some kind of proof as a believer that your beliefs are true, book or not, If not then you have no right to say you are true. I still have yet to hear of you, or anyone else give me proof. yet there is so much proof for non belief
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I've given you many resources to do your own research. In terms of my own personal evidence, one of the non-biblical things that convinces me personally is the fact that things have happened, even in my own family, that cannot be explained by Earthly means.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Nope, everything can be explained, and i mean everything. It does not have to be subjected to religion (just like rain was back in the old days)
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : All right, lets test that. A woman and her children are walking home from the park. A large dog jumps a fence and lands right in front of them, growling and snarling, and lunges for them. The woman says a prayer, and the dog freezes in mid-air, and they get home safely. Explain to me how a dog can freeze in mid-lunge by Earthly means.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Something cant freeze or simply stop in mid air, furthermore, the time it takes to pray vs the time it take for a dog jumping at you, the dog will always get there first, unless said prayer only consists of a single word. so that story really doesn't fly with reality. I've seen cases where something bad is about to happen and the person escapes on instinct, but saying a prayer faster than a dog can jump at you, and then having said dog freeze in mid air until you get away?nah
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Exactly. A dog can't freeze in mid-air by Earthly means.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 nor can you pray fast enough when a dog is jumping at you, which is still not evidence at all
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Doesn't have to be a five-minute prayer. Nor does it have to be spoken aloud. God responds when somebody thinks the word "help". The story I described to you happened to my own mother. I also have stories experienced by my grandfather and my aunt.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Did they bring up those stories to you when you came to them with a question about your beliefs? Did you see any of it happen? And if it did happen (Which i strongly doubt) I still isn't evident proof of a god. There could be a god in the universe, even though there is no proof of one, But i'm 100% certain, that possible god, isn't the christian or muslim gods
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : You better be 100% certain of that 100% certainty, because as of right now there is a very rude awakening in your future, my friend.
No, nobody told me these things when I asked questions. My mother has told me of that story since I was little, but not because I asked questions. I didn't voice any of my questions until I was older, around 16. And the story about my Aunt happened just a few months ago. She told me about it herself.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Hell will never scare me because hell does not exist. Simple as that. The very concept of hell is yet another contradiction. AN all loving god would never allow such a place to exist. Sending people to eternal torture, no matter how good of a person they were; just because they didn't come to the assumption that god existed (without signifigant proof mind you). Is a sick tyranical law, No matter how you look at it.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I knew we'd hit this eventually. The simple fact is that if you believe in a God who never has any judgment whatsoever, then you're looking at a screwed up version of God. Another simple fact is that the very nature of non-belief is a sin. It's one of those "if you're not for us you're against us" situations. You have two options: Heaven or Hell. Those are the rules.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 You can say that, But it will never erase the fact that it contradicts the loving and caring nature attributed to your god, It would have made more sense if it were claimed that Heaven was for good natured believers, hell was for evil people, and then possibly another realm for good people who were also non believers. But no it's either you believe in something with no proof. Or listen to what is proven and go to hell, Sounds like a dictatorship. Not the law of a loving god.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : You've got evidence. I've given you resources to do your own research. In any case, you aren't alone in thinking those things, but that's the way it is. You either believe or you don't, and if you don't, you cannot dwell with God. God would never force someone to be with Him who didn't want to be with Him.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 I've done alot of research on your side of the argument, especially since i used to be a christian. Done any research on my side? Carl sagan, richard dawkins etc You've based your like on a book, and stories that make no sense, You worship a god who is morally inferior to you, and has a description of a sick murderer (looking at what he commands and endorses). You can say anything you want about your god, But it'll never erase these facts.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : God has every right to take a life when He chooses. We all have to die at one point or another. Whatever form that takes is up to Him. God can see all the way through to the last day of eternity. By comparison, I cannot see past the end of my nose. God is morally superior to me, I am the one who is inferior. Like any good parent, God disciplines us when we disobey, but like any good parent, He is perfectly capable of being angry with His children and loving them at the same time.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Again, A loving being would not have created hell in the first place, A place of eternal unimaginable torment, where people can go simply because they didn't believe. It's been fun. But i am sick of having to repeat myself. You aren't interested in learning anything about the reality we live in, as you're already past the point where you cant distinguish fact from fiction, and faith from evidence simply because of some family stories and an old book. I've made my point.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Hell is Satan's domain, not God's. But fine. You may think me delusional if you wish. Have a good life. God bless.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 God created satan with the full knowldege that he would betray him, and that hell would be created (Because apparently your god is all knowing and all powerful). Of course god could have bane it clear to everyone beyond a doubt that he existed, but he didn't. its all easily debatable, easily doubtable concept. People just cant imagine thier existences coming to an end, Thats all this really is.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I cannot rightly know what was in God's head when He came up with this entire plan. That's something we'll have to discover together.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 If you had done your research, and allowed yourself to step back for a second, and look at what happened so far (according to the bible) You'd see that this plan is trash, makes no sense whatsoever, and results in billions upon billions of souls suffering for little to no reason at all, But no, you've done no research on the other side of the argument, Because the religious mind cannot learn. It cannot possibly fathom it's beliefs being wrong. It simply cant handle reality.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I've researched the other side. One of the problems with it is that it doesn't take care of the needs of the soul. Why do you think it is that the one thing nobody wants to hear during a phone call in the middle of the night that someone that they love is dead? It's because your soul knows that death is unnatural. Why do you think it is that so many specifically hate the name of Jesus Christ? Because their soul knows that He is real.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Death is one of the most natural things in existence. No one nor anything can exist forever, Everyone and everything dies, There is an end to everything. This is exactly what i mean, People are afraid of death, so they turn to the concept of a god that promises afterlife for comfort. This changes nothing. One day you and i will cease to exist, its a part of nature. If you've done research you'd know this. Also no one hates your supposed "savior" we just see no proof of god.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Exactly. Death should be the most natural thing to us. Yet if you go to a funeral home, everyone is weeping. It has nothing to do with being afraid of death, it's your soul knowing that it wasn't created to die. People do hate the name of Jesus Christ. Look around here on YouTube. For every video against Allah or Buddha, there are thirty against Jesus Christ. That kind of passion is never directed at nobody. In order to go ape over something, there must be something to go ape over.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Your logic, is just... Not even passible in the sliightest. When people are in a funeral home, they could be crying for any number or reasons, Lonliness, depression, (because lets face it, those old people are not taken care of in those homes) they may have felt abandoned by whoever put them there. Either way, it has nothing to do with a soul, its all human emotion. Also there are videos against religion, not christ himself. and they are justified, as there is no proof.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Not a retirement home, a funeral home. Or a funeral parlor, I guess. The place where people go to pick out caskets and stuff.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Again, its all human emotion, every expression is a product of human emotion. Next time you see someone crying in a funeral home, ask them why. i bet you'll get a story out of them, and not a vague "My souls knows it shouldn't die"
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Obviously they're crying because somebody they love is dead. I'd be crying too.
Anyway, nice talking to you. God bless.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Yep, human emotion. santa bless you too
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 I think the reason alot of people go "Ape" over Christianity, is because it is a religion that says that you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven without believing in Jesus Christ. To me that is very arrogant. I guess the bottom line is that Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Naturists, Witches, and assorted others are going to "Burn In A Lake Of Fire"...While all believing Christians receive the gift of Eternal Life, regardless of their actions?? LOL...
pat52010 1 year ago

SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 Really? Is that the best argument you can muster, after watching this video? (Which imo just busted religions butt with facts) Have you even afforded yourself the chance to think about what you believe in at all? Or are you just assuming that because you've been taught to, or fear hell? There HAS to be some explanable reason why anyone who lives in this age would believe in such nonsense (The likes of which has been disproved more times than i can count) Come on, Be serious.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : I spent a period of about three years questioning my beliefs, and have found nothing that effectively disproves what I believe. I do not fear Hell. The reason people believe in this "nonsense", as you call it, is because they allow the Holy Spirit to live in them.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 "nothing effectively disproves what i believe" Are you sure about that? I guess you must have just ignored everything science proved wrong about the bible, or even the contradictions in the bible itself, You must have also ignored that the god you worship is a sick being who endorses all sorts of violent acts. The evidence is all around you. You've just chosen to ignore it.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : There are no contradictions in the Bible. Anything that appears to be a contradiction can easily be explained through a little further study of the Bible. And most any one verse of the Bible can be backed up by another verse somewhere in the Bible. God is not sick or violent. The people of the Old Testament were a primitive people. Primitive behavior is what they understood.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine1988 And with that, you've proven you have no idea what you are talking about. There are countless contradictions, One of the more famous being. In one verse god says, man will be judged not by his actions, but by his belief, and in another verse, god says the exact opposite, Which is why fundamentalist christians exsist today. Also in Leviticus 14, god endorses and commands animal sacrifice. In other verses he endorses slavery/sexism/mass killings/child abuse and rape.
PinkYui16 1 year ago
@PinkYui16 : Animal sacrifice was demanded for the forgiveness of sins before Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, making blood sacrifice no longer necessary. God does not endorse sexism. I don't know where you're getting that from. Yes, He ordered entire cities to be wiped out. The wrath of God is never a pleasant thing to endure. The first thing you need to understand is that God is in charge. He makes the rules. If He decided to do it, it was right and justified.
SummerSunshine1988 1 year ago
@SummerSunshine Last time i checked, Having entire cities wiped out, and having people within killed as a result does not describe the charateristics of an all loving, perfectly moral being. But you are right about one thing, In your previous comment you stated that the people of biblical times were primitive, which is true,The bible has some very primitive morals. See that? Can you put two and two together? Seems that the god of the bible, has the same knowledge and morals about the world as..
PinkYui16 1 year ago
lets see...the Bible has been around alot longer then your scientist as been around.
If you are so smart, just answer me this ... why if scientist are so smart about how and when we came about to this life...how come it took so long to invent electricity.
Zeeebreee 1 year ago
@Zeeebreee Let me respond to that. What did god not provide the knowledge to electricity in its best seller. If the book is so right and wonderful?
NathanWubs 1 year ago
@Zeeebreee First of all, no one invented electricity, it is a naturally occurring force. What you are referring to is our ability to harness electricity for useful purposes and develop ways to generate our own. Now think about the concept of electric power from the perspective of an ancient person. To understand how to make a generator, one must understand the principles of energy, they must understand that heat, motion, and light all contain energy that can be used. Learning that takes time

Think!
wiseyeffect 1 year ago
@chillincochillin christian don't understand their bible at all! Light means to see all that there is. Spirit is the force that is governed by consciousness(laws). Souls are fragments of that consciousness. The Universal mind gave spirit to the void so that it could experience itself as souls. Light gave us sight to see all that we are through the passing of time.
wiseyeffect 1 year ago
@philhellenes your point about light and God is valid to a point. God isn't light,God is universal order. If we can determine intelligence by it's level of ability to harness the laws of nature then what does that say about the laws themselves? If mans intelligence is determined by his understand, then the laws are a great mind.
wiseyeffect 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Dude, since you know it all, where did light come from? You don't explain that, and Bible says god is light. You're affirming what's in there. Also, the earth was with out form and void, then light came into the picture. stuff was pulled together uniformly by gravity and light. Light's at the core of God's creation......Actually, since you're so smart, explain gravity (not its EFFECTS) but what it's essence is, go ahead, waiting, smart guy, c'mon, what it is? c'mon, waiiiting....(whistling)
chillincochillin 1 year ago

@redice1024 How can u say it's all scientifically accurate. You know for a fact? Scientist still debate the explanation of the universe and many say that the more we know the more we don't know. Scientists are even re-thinking gravity now adays....or maybe your stuck there yourself.
