As they stood looking on a beautiful butterfly fluttered from a rose on the grave. It circled around them twice and flew slowly back into the flowers.
Thirty-five years after I first heard Lucia Popp's Voice on the Carmina Burana recording, I still marvel that someone can both look so gorgeous and sing so beautifully.
After being sonicly assaulted by Gargleghiu's trainwreck with diction that would even make La Stupida barf, i had to clean my ears off from that filth with THE Song to the Moon! Lucia is sublime in this aria!
