@AdministratorChris i think its about the hand you freeze with, so if you freeze with your left like me then you go counterclockwise and if you freeze with your right hand then clockwise, make sure you stretch both of your legs equally when you stretch because you dont want your opposite leg way stronger.
@Oppositeism i havent done an airflare for years now so pardon me if this advice isnt so good. i'd say you move your hand like doing a swipe. just swing it pass over your head naturally and plant it again

hey dude! you're wrong about the stretching part! you have to be very flexible to allow your body to move freely and controllably. also stretching allows your muscles to receive air hence "more power" and do cleaner moves. if you don't stretch, your flares and windmills will look like bent legs spinning no doubt. when i look at your starting position you seem to lack flexibility.
this is actually probably the best air flare tutorial on youtube because i can finally do them. i couldn't do them before because i was putting the wrong hand down. thats all i needed to know.
well...i think it is much more complicated than this and it involves more moves ...and there are diferent stiles of airflare...some are very high and some are low the movement it's not the same...and if your legs are spread enought it is much easy to land on your hands and so on ;)
