  • I was at this concert at the L.A. Forum September 4, 1970. I was 15 years old. Our seats were low, but way back away from them. This was when they were all bearded up. Plant was wearing a light blue t shirt and jeans and white tennis shoes I believe. That was Plant yelling 'Yeah!' at the beginning by the way.

  • Rober hit the fucking Highest Notes Ever.

  • So heavy!!!... its a shame that in the album version is not so heavy

  • Outstanding! One of my favorite Zep songs.

  • 2:15 John Paul Jones with the LP?!

  • If I could go back in time I would be one of the people screaming at the end of this video"One More!"

  • we're out on the tiles. you better bring some rubbers cos we're gonna pull some scrubbers.

  • Is that Robert Plant yelling "yeah, yeah" at the beginning, or just an overenthusiastic crowd member?

  • @nonebuthelite11 I think its plant because the crowd responds with each Yeah!! i crowd member wouldnt get that reaction of back and forth response if you know what i mean lol. Im no good at explaining.

  • one of my favourite songs EVER!!

    badass riff!

  • fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone know where I can get a copy of the full Live on Blueberry Hill recording? Been trying to dig one up for a friend who is recovering from cancer and have not found it anywhere... a download would be ideal but a CD would be ok too! Thx

  • Two people prefer to be inside, rather than out on the tiles.

  • SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!

  • @Lasse3030 Sabastian Bach tried to do this song when a bunch of out of the limelites were make a band(him,Jason Bhm,scott Ian)for a reality show, and Jason B got a call from Jimmy P saying he would love to see them perform "Out on the tiles"(means a nite tearing it up on the town). Sabastian Bach murdered the song,he could'nt hold a Plant sung note if it had a handle on it,He tried to save face kissing up to Jay B saying "I could'nt compete w/that voice" but he flamed Plant in his past.

  • ballsy man. listen to that les paul growl.

  • Page is a god when it comes to live performances.

  • What a sexy song.

  • @acidinurmind nope, they played it sometimes during the 1970 U.S. Tour(or the Led Zeppelin III Tour)

  • Amazing tune.

  • Holy shit. There will never be a band that comes close to Zeppelin. Ever. Everyone that has come after are boys. This is man rock.

  • jimmy rips the shit out of this, love how he adds the palm scratches aswell

  • I had the bootleg record. this sounds better than I remember. Many thumbs up!

  • SO, so, so so underated. Always love it.

  • Want more live recordings of this one. One of their best, though that isnt very saying.. So many to choose from ;)

  • and too bad him singing like that fucked up his voice, cause I wish he could still belt it out like that now

  • @jimromerulez

well actually he smoked like 3 packs a day.... i think thats what screwed his voice, thank god he quit before he lost all his lungs.

  • thanks for this. gotta love early zep bootlegs. and this was one of their kick ass early songs

  • plants vocals were so powerful at this time, such a kickass song too, underrated and shuld be played more on the radio rather than the same old zeppelin and they shuld of played this song alot more

  • Where did this gig take place??.

  • This is one of only two times this song was ever played live in its entirety by Led Zeppelin. Sad that it wasn't played regularly.

  • @Olympiakos71 I know that there so many variations of "Blue Berry Hill"--this one seems to be of extraordinary quality...I reckon the quality level is from a CD, as I have heard many renditions of this song from these old vinyls and no way is this version from the old TMOQ ones, although Rubber Dubber put out a rather rare double boot form June 4, 1970--which is rated as Excellent Audience sound. That one, however, doesn't have this tune on it--"Tiles" is one of my top 3 Zep songs.

  • the verse, especially the riff, to this song is incredible...but i've never really liked the chorus.....

  • I was in attendance at this perforance of out on the tiles. This was at the Inglewood Forum in LA, on September 04, 1970. I was 15 years old and had just seen them a few months before at the same place on March 27, 1970. They all had beards and plant was wearing a light blue t shirt and blue jeans from what I remember and could see from our 6 dollar seats. Incredible song. I do not recall that they ever played the song again for the next 5 times I saw them up through 1977. Brian

  • For those who collect bootlegs which version of Blueberry Hill is the best. I've seen 5 different sources for this concert but don't know which one is the best one.

  • I still have this vinyl boot and it is hard to find these days!!!! Listen to this Eddie is a realy good one to listen to.

  • @acidinurmind

They also played it in LA at the forum.

  • @ratm1211

I'm pretty sure that this show was recorded at the old LA Forum.

  • zeppelin played it live once more and i believe it was a better performance. look up conneyfogle out on the tiles and you should find it.

  • Amazing sound quality, one of their best songs. I think Plant had occasional problems with this song - why they dropped it from the set list ? He freakin' NAILS it here though !! '...voice is oh so strong".

Damn freakin' straight !! BTW, not being critical here...night after night in that register has to be a strain on the ol' voice box...I've just heard some poor versions though. This song used to give me an adrenalin rush back in HS daze....

  • Best Blueberry audio I've ever heard. Is this newly

    remastered?

  • no, its actually just a bootleg copy of it

  • @acidinurmind O.K. Cheers. The versions that I heard, admittedly many moons ago were just crap then. Ain't modern tech. wonderful.

  • Is this from a vinyl boot? I have never heard such a great sounding quality of this top 3 Zep song on any vinyl, except for the snip they play on "Destroyer" which the band used as an intro to "Moby Dick". This is awesome!

  • no, i have it on a CD

  • @acidinurmind culd ya be so kind to tell me where you got this bootleg. im from st louis, so this wuld be flippin awesome for me to have

  • @IMaWondERFULPerSON truth is, a friend gave it to me on cd, I don't know where he got it, sorry, you can look on the internet

  • @acidinurmind could u email the files if I gave you my email?

  • @git1958 ya i was suprised when i got mine how good the quality was

  • in my top 3 zep tunes... great, great song

  • its the smokin'est riff evr! Jonsey surely had something to do with it...(?) Was and has to yet BE my fav zep tune.

  • To bad the drums didnt come out better.great cut..

  • really good

  • This is an an extremely great zeppelin song, it's a shame they didn't play it live very often...

  • @LetrickLad one of the very best, for sure.

  • @LetrickLad i think they didn't sing it often because it would have destroyed Robert's voice even faster

  • is this in st.louis?

  • led zep iii makes me happy:)

  • song is so under rated

  • such a heavy riff, fuckin badass

  • Isn't Blueberry Hill a club near Washington University in St. Louis? I hear Chuck Berry still plays there sometimes.

  • WOW! Youre my hero! Zep, 7 or 8 times!

Not many people can say that!

  • you seem to be just a fucking thief - if Peter Grant or Richard Cole knew you were stealing Zeppelin's music, they would smash your face (and your Norelco recorder)

Why the fuck did you do such a thing?

  • @omalinsky Joking right?

  • Awesome, one of the best riff ever. I can't help shaking my whole body

  • Great tune. LZ III was a wonderful album. Love "That's the Way"...wow.

  • Totally underrated song, this is priceless. Had to listen to it several times its so awesome, thx for sharing man!

  • at their peak they swung and rocked and funked all at the same time. Is this the best rock riff ever?

  • yes

  • Perfect.

  • I understand that since they wrote the song they can change it whenever they want, but Robert sings the 2nd verse backwards, and even then a bit different. just an observation, i happen to like that they mixed up their live shows.

  • Yes, they never did a song the same twice. Even in the studio.

  • I'm uh enjoy'n uh this'a one.

  • fucking fantastic!!!

  • so so so great - thanks for posting.

  • Awesome

Out On The Tiles is on of Zep's most underrated tunes.

  • @USCFlash because they had so many other great ones!

  • great song! i own a led zeppelin III 1970 album and this is one of my favourite songs!

  • they played this mostly as an opener for Black Dog

  • I heard another live version.. but can't remember the date or venue.

  • i guess this is the only time zepp ever played this song live?

  • There was one other time at the evening show on their last of the 1970 tour in Madison Square Garden.

  • love it! Great vid

  • super cool!

    awsome live performance by led
