  • this gets me so excited

  • Good video. Bet you wish you would've taken that bigger buck that you took the anter off of though. Haha.

  • Just an awesome hunt, I always tell people for the big mulies you have to go high this just proves, great job guys

  • where was this shot

  • @highdesertmuleys

This is in Utah. Thanks for watching, and good luck on your future hunts.

  • Enjoy hunting together as brothers, because before you know life happens and you guys will be lucking if you get to hunt together once every five years, marriage, children, and most of all time. Great video.

  • Looks like a fun hunt!

  • Good staff man!!

  • good video man!

  • Sweet footage. Thanks for sharing the hard work of packing in video camera and all. Good times and i like your style of hunting.

  • how in the hell do you manage to shoot an antler off... i always thought you were supposed to take an ethical shot

  • How do you get those outta there?

  • Hey man that is pretty funny! My bro and I were hunting mule deer this year and he shot the antler off the deer and I got it on film! check out lineman2323 and u will find my videos. mule deer shot best ever is the one! nice buck by the way!

  • what power scope were you using?

  • wow look at the deer at 2:42 nice buck

  • Nice muley. Can't wait till tomorrow morning, heading to Unit 61 Co.! I have watched most of all the mule deer hunts on here and hopefully my thirteen years of waiting for my turn to get picked, pans out for me! November 6, should be a good one, and i'll post my video should i be lucky enough to punch one's ticket., but if not thats ok too, just being there is all worth the wait!

  • how did you shoot the antler off the OTHER ONE!?

  • @desiromeo107

His first shot was a miss, and he shot before I was ready with the camera, so it wasn't on video. It took the antler clean off one of the bucks. After that shot I told him to take the other buck.

  • @hall6904 wow that is awesome! haha and like someone said before, you just saved that other deer from being hunted for a while :P

    great skills :]

  • I thinks is lucky you only shot the antler off the othe one.

  • Wow! Nice! You got me thinking of deer season. Beautiful shot. What rifle? .308 is what i use.

  • @ak7wyf

This was shot with a .270. Thanks for watching! Good luck this year.

  • Nice buck

  • good video! i know what its like to camp in in the snow and its not fun!

  • Great job guys! Awesome film and commentary in my opinion. You definately earned that Buck! Thats some crazy Utah Mulie coutry! Great job. Good luck this year from all the staff at-K-7 LEGACY HUNTING SERVICES/AZ

  • That was an awesome shot. Nice set of antlers too.

  • I live in Arkansas and Ive always wanted to go hunting out west for Mulies. Ive been all over the west just traveling around, and I love it out there. But I think I would have to have me some mules to take with me though. After you get a big mulie buck down in one of those canyons a mule would be worth quite a bit to me. LOL!!!

  • I love your movie. I have watched it several times and it really captures the vibe of a good mule deer hunt. I have done African safaris and I tell ya, mule deer are tough as any game in Africa to hunt.

  • Nice Job, fellas, nice to see you out getting it done! That is the best way to hunt, get out there and walk!

  • deer hunters rule!

  • one of the best deer hunt i have ever seen on the web!! incredible footage. good hunt.

  • great hunt

  • awesome video, awesome hunt, awesome deer... the only buck i've shot is a 4X3 here in south dakota and the rest of the deer i've shot have been does for a total of 4 deer... i really don't care about if the deer has antlers or not... a deer is a deer i'm just happy to be able to hunt them... and if i come home empty handed like a do most of the time... just bein out there is fun enough for me... i love to hunt and nobody can take that away from me again AWESOME VIDEO

  • A good film. You have to ignore the critics as they know nothing of what it takes to be successful. The fact of where they get their meat is far more brutal, unhealthy & disturbing. They could never have the courage nor the skill to do what you do. Salut

  • Stated like a true sportsman. Thanks for watching and best wishes.

  • It's actually quite tasty. Thanks for watching.

  • I cant quite tell if you are trying to be offensive or funny...? Either way, your maturity is obviously lacking.

  • no this is actaully a very tasty sport.

  • Shooting the antler off another one? Man you hicks are so weird.

  • thats why people like you that feel bad for animals dont run the world. your a complete pussy. how would you like to have an encounter with a deer everytime you drive on the road. Millions are killed and still millions remained. People hunt for many reasons, meat, sport, population control, or just a hobby

  • me and my buddies chased a 30 incher that would have scored 190 or better in that same canyon on the archery hunt this year. we went back up on the rifle because i am dedicated hunter and saw a million other hunters and a few two points. the weather was too warm this year and too many people were able to get in there.

  • Nah, that's definitely not Alberta. Its about 10,000 up on Mount T_______. I've seen some decent bucks taken in that very spot. Its a good lookout point. My dad used to muzzleload up there, but its so crowded now we've moved to the northern region and had some nice success. Do you guys still go here each year on the rifle hunt? (Nice video, btw)

  • We've had success all over up there, but it's definately gotten crowded - even more so this year with the revised closure of some of the Central 5 day areas (they don't open till middle of the week). I had a Northern tag this year and struggled a bit both with the new area and what seemed like lower numbers of deer. Thanks for watching and good luck on your future hunts.

  • Good luck to you as well! Thanks for sharing the video.

  • Sick hunt, sick vid! Thanks. That place looked pretty close to home. Is that near Calgary?

  • Thanks for watching. It's in Utah.

  • that should be a fun retrieval haha nice buck

  • is this in Alberta and if so where...thanks for the vid awsome!!

  • Great Hunt!!!!!

    5/5

    -DUDE

  • Awesome vid! He actually shot the other deer's antler off? Amazing...

  • Yeah, I know, hard to believe. I was adjusting for a better view when he shot the first time, so I completely missed it. I hurried and flipped the camera back on and he says "I shot the antler off." So I told him to take the other buck. It truly saved the other buck's life . . . just wish I would have got the first shot on film. Thanks for watching!

  • nice buck i live in bc canada and its pretty good mule deer hunting but moose are so exciting to hunt

  • Whoa what kind of rifle? Sounds like a .338 but tell me if I'm wrong.

  • Actually a .270

  • I am a hard core mule deer hunter in UT. This is one of the coolest videos i ever have seen. GREAT JOB!!!!!

  • Thanks for watching. Obviously could have been better, but not bad for amateurs. Good luck on all your hunts.

  • Shoot the antler off another one? idiots. Hope you get shot

  • Nice one!!

  • Don't listen to the FOOL on here. They try to get a response so they can say "See of wild and crazy Hunters are". Just give him the due he is worth, and you guys know that is a big Zero. Anyhow, nice hunt guys, wish you could have got the one you shot the horn off LOL.

  • Very nice country, tks for posting.

  • Great hunt. I live in British Columbia and I hunt the same sort of terrain for mulies. This is how they should be hunted. How far was the shot if you don't mind me asking?

  • Ignorance is bliss for people like klaushonold3, dont encourage him. He is a sheep among sheeple

  • fuck off animal killer

    hope you die soon asholeee

  • you shoot back ? yeah right , id put money that you couldnt even load a gun let alone shoot one . ass clown .

  • for you shiteater i dont need a gun to kick your dirty asshole

    stupid idiot

  • Comment removed

  • Awsome! I would LOVE to hunt in that kind of terrain some day.

  • I'm Impressed. Thats cold hard work to get a pretty nice buck. Nice Job

  • That is some great footage, beautiful buck!!Great Job!!

  • yes only ,Looosers kills animals

fight against me you stupid morons

    i shoot back

  • if you dont like this video why are you watching it?why are you here?there are millions of videos on you tube!,Go watch flower picking and tree hugging vids!!

  • go back to wherever you came from, you uneducated asshole!!!

  • fucking stupid american idiots

animla killers hope one day somebody shoot you idiots

  • Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!

Hitler is dead - go back to your hole you worthless sub-human.

  • he is right yoou fucking animal killers are morons damn killer idiots

    stupid shitholes

  • FUCK OFF cunt

one day animals will eat your brain hahaha

  • if you are a vegitarian, i respect where you stand, but not how you voice your opinion. If you do eat meat, you need to open your eyes to how commercial meet is grown! What is so wrong about a man venturing into an animals domain in order to harvest the most natural, free ranging meat for his family?

  • i dont eat meat , and most stupid people killing for fun not because they want the meat

  • You are obviously very ignorant. Why are you watching this if you are so against it? I think although you're against it, part of the hunt still intrigues you. After all you are human.

  • nickscrps, that actually makes alot of sense, no joke.

  • if you dont like dan dont wacht its so easy

  • wankers

  • yes 100% agree

  • Good Video! I took my buddy to your exact spot last year. Yes I know where you were. :) He missed a good buck just above where you shot yours. Bad news was there were about 10 groups on each ridge. BTW That hike is not fun!!!

  • what caliber?

  • .270

  • Nice, You saved that deer's life by taking it's 1 antler. No one will go after it now

  • now thats a hunting video

  • LMAO shot the horn off the 5 point at the base. Oh well it will be a good buck again next year.

The one you ended up with was a good one too. Hard work and a lot of hiking pays off with a good buck and many tasty dinners.

  • My hats off to you guys, i know how f'n cold that had to be to get that guy... you guys were even above them... just how you want it. Great Hunt! and nice buck! Buckfever Baby!

  • Utah wasatch mountains.

  • Where was this filmed? Its beautiful country ans was a pleasure to watch, thanks! Nice shot!

  • great shot but what did u do with the body?

  • we only pack out the meat and head. all the unusable body parts are left on the mountain.

  • kool i just wanted to see if u were the kind of people that shot the deer then got the head and ditched the yummy meat, taking the life for no reason

  • that was sorda wrong wen the deer went sliding down the cliff i found it sorda mean.

  • I take it you don't hunt

  • that was awsome!

  • WATCH SC DEER AND SANTEE

  • After you shot, at 2:41 on the timer, it looks like a bigger buck is a lot closer... was that the case?

  • pstimac, I think what you are seeing was some brush positioned directly behind the deer . . . appearing to be antlers.

  • just curious cause i dont hunt, after you guys made the shot and the buck is down, why are you still being so quiet and whispering? jsut still in the moment or was there a tactical choice to that

  • this deer was taken with a 270. i hunt with a .25-06. i know people that hunt with a .243 - it wouldn't be my first choice, but a well placed shot can bring a deer down with no trouble.

  • I hunt with a 25-06 also. What a great round, everything I hit drops like a sack of potatos.

  • That is how we hunt in Utah. No sitting in tree stands while waiting for some stupid dam deer to come to their feeder....

  • Looks like fun. I'd like to get one like that someday. My biggest trophy is a 3 piont blacktail.

  • Nice buck... what stats is this in?

  • Sorry... what state is this in?

  • Utah - Wasatch Mountains

  • Very good video the only trouble was I couldn't stand the music (didn't fit) kept turning off the sound but then couldn't hear your commentary. Better background music I believe would help.

  • Well done for getting out there and roughing it to get that head. Hunting memories are made of such stuff.

  • Awesome stuff. Much better than those J/offs on TV that sit in a blind and wait...

  • did u fit that whole thing in ur back pack

  • all but the entrails, bones, and hide

  • you boys earned that hunt. not like them guys on Mossback videos.

  • 5 stars for sure! ***** Fantastic hunt, gr8 footage and wow, the scenery and the deer....wow!!!

  • Good effort!

  • Extreme alright. Good shootin on number 2

    Mule Deer Fanatic

  • Nice work, fellas! Now THAT was a hunt. Congrats on reaping the rewards for your effort...

How'd he manage to shoot the antler off the other buck, though?

  • He shot at the other buck first, but I missed it on video. It was that missed shot that actually hit the antler of the other buck. We realized he hit the antler and that the deer was okay, so he decided to take the second buck, which ended up being the better buck. Later we talked to some guys who passed up a one antlered buck haha - turns out we saved its life. Thanks for watching!

  • Well, sometimes it just goes like that...

Enjoyed the video. Hope to get some decent footage of my hunts this season.

  • did u shot this footage? this is a asoume video

  • Get a life loser i thik Dear is spelled Deer

  • Great shots. The rifle and the camera keep up the good work.

  • Now thats hunting wow good video.

  • carry it out must of sucked

  • Hey Nice Buck!! Im glad theres video of normal responsible hunters like you on the web to help offset the reputation freaks like Ted Nugent creates for hunting.

  • Great video and hunt. Thats the real way to hunt. Where were you guys at? It looks pretty rough. Anywhere in montana? Thats were I live and hunt.

  • We're in the Wasatch Range in Utah. I think hunting in any of the Rocky Mountain States is gonna be pretty similiar. Thanks for watching, and good luck on any future hunts!

  • Your boyfriend just wishes you had the balls it takes to do something like this. Let me guess . . . the only meat you eat is between your boyfriends legs?

  • its "sad" that you spelled deer, "dear"

  • Nice buck! Backpack hunting, work your tail off & take a tremendous buck!! As good as it gets!

  • maybe i'm not fag enough to translate this comment . . . but thanks for watching!!!

  • I love the fact that you climbed your ass off and didnt hunt on a road. Nice buck

  • Of course we kept the meat! The antler was shot off the deer directly below the one taken. Two shots were fired, I only filmed the second shot. The first shot was aimed at the lower deer and somehow shaved the antler clean off without harming the deer. In the video you will hear me say "take the other one" in response to my brother saying he shot the antler off. It's all legit. The other deer only had one anter because he had just shot it off.

  • Awesome hunt you guys! And you found the antler you shot off - nice!

  • I envy you guys and what looks like a wonderfull hunt!
