By the way , in another Spaghetti western - "Per Pochi Dollari Ancora" ("For a Few Dolars Extra") Gemma is introduced also as Montgomery Wood and then in brackets is added his real name. While in "Adios, Gringo" he is given only as Giulianno Gemma. Maybe as his popularity grew the Italian movie-makers were no longer afraid with revealing his real nationality. But the last is just my guess, I`m not sure whether it`s right ...

No,Vintolho,Gema is in the movie, but under the name Montgomery Wood (e.g. Captain O`Hara). Just as the actress Evelyn Stewart (e.g. O`Hara`s wife ): her real name is Ida Galli. As far as I know it was an often practice for the Spaghetti westerns to use Anglosaxon names for their actors (and sometimes also for directors, plot-writers,etc.) to make the movie more acceptable for the American audience and more profitable at home as well.
