This is my favorite scene in the movie. I can kind of identify with ....her. She has had the same experiences with men as I did, this is how she knew what to say. To the young Robin Williams: "I HAVE A HARD ON FOR YOU THE SIZE OF TEXAS."
It's a very good film, probably one of the best .People are making strange films in these years. For example films with Steven Seagal where he shoots everyone. And the song ''Hit the road'' is one of my favourite songs
Williams nominated for this, but lost to Hopkins playing a madman....
So sad Gilliam does not ever get the nominations he deserves. I mean, NO nominations for FEAR AND LOATHING is an absolute OUTRAGE!!
Fucking Benicio Del Toro played Dr. Gonzo perfect, and so did Depp. That movie is a nightmare to watch, but it's so amazingly good, and if you read the book it's almost word for word EXCEPT he leaves out the last chapter, and I won't spoil it for you, go read it yourself.
This scene is emotionally pitch perfect. It's sweet without being cloying; it's funny without being disingenuous or trite. It's pure catharsis. I just broke when I watched it the first time about a week ago. It makes me want to send Terry Gilliam a valentine.
@carlsaganismyhomeboi This is my favorite film of all times, and Gilliam is the most brilliant director - he has such nose for filmmaking. And this scene always makes me teary eyed.
This movie is the testament of an idealist who believes that love, true love, can conquer all, including painful memories. And that it is not about just getting laid. (Gasp!) Sometimes it is not that simple. Other times...yes, it is. God bless you Mr. Gilliam and everyone who helped make this movie. You didn't change my life with it. You affirmed the most silent of beliefs that the world had discarded as worthless.
The Best Scene in a movie EVER! I can't remember a more romantic or BETTER scene in a film! I can't see it enough...at least the best beneath spice racks :D
the scene after this is what brings the pain, beauty, and heartbreak to a full circle. I love this movie because of this scene and the next. Its beautiful without being pretentious which can be hard to do when people try and make movies.
@realitybitesit It changed my life too! I recommend it to everyone, it contains so many of the secrets to happiness in life and shows how everything has a reason and everything is connected to everything else, how karma works, and so much more. Its brilliant and a masterpiece!
Touches such a deep part of me, and I relate to the idea being expressed so much. There isn't enough of this seniment today :-( It's a perfect scene that always rocks me to the core....when she says "You're real"....I'm done. Also, the scene after this, where it is torn away from him....so cruel and sad...brilliant film
One of my favourite movies and it's such a great story. So many good scenes and roles played in this - Robin Williams has such an emotional range in his acting it's wonderful to watch.
@watro1 Most people just consider Williams just a comedian, but to me most of his best films are his dramatic roles (like this and dead poets society). He is wonderful in this.
yes real love does exist. sometimes when there are circumstances when being distant would be good. this love gives up everything and keeps distance for the good of one another. there are so many people who wanted to get laid at least once if they wont be able to marry but there is a love true love that keeps away real far away like my crush-love-i dont know what
Thank you ever so much for this video. I think this represents love and all that is good in life. This scene makes me cry almost every time and thank you so much for uploading it.
Thank you so much for uploading this scene! I consider it the most beautiful love scene ever made. Every now and then I watch the movie just to remind myself that love really does exist. Thank you again

Wow! Is this movie already 20 years old now? Crazy. It's still probably my favorite movie of all time if I had to just pick one.

Aww, this was a really good movie. I liked it a lot. And these two made the perfect couple. Both very odd and quirky, but perfect for each other.

The next scene is the really scary one, where he freaks out remembering his wifes murder and winds up facing the red knight.

Buncha tripe. Hate RW when he plays "sincere" (the quotes are needed there).

Ok, again, subtitles UNNECESSARY since the movie is already in English. The subtitles aren't even the correct dialogue anyway. What a distraction.

Same here, it is so beautiful and captured out of life.
I just love the look on Robert Williams face when the hurt woman he loves predicts a negative future in front of him.
The dispare is so well done...
