  • u r simply the best

  • ceep play valentinal. U inspire me when I have to work with the chinese

  • This is the most profound representation of the most profound melody Beethoven ever wrote

  • Such heartfelt playing and a very compelling interpretation. It is hard to believe someone could compose such a piece and even more amazing the way this is played. The piano is so musical and has an amazing singing tone. Must have been a joy to play. Thank you so much for you music.

  • horowitz is the master in this sonata and especially in this movement

  • @bratzko79 In which case, Valentina Lisitsa is the grandmaster. =P

Personal preferences aside, both are stunning players. You go listen to Horowitz, I'll stay right here and listen to this young lady, thanks. =)

  • horowitz is the master in this sonata and especially this movement

  • Bravo! That is a performance worthy of Beethoven. Oh, and I adore your posture. You look like a sorcerer, and to me, that is exactly what a concert pianist in action should look like. You are among the great, Rubinstein, Richter, Tureck, and Valentina Lisitsa! And, its simply marvellous to have all your recordings here freely available in 1080p quality. Thank you so much!!!

  • Posture!

  • You are absolutely amazing. I've gained so much inspiration from you as a musician. Please come to Perth, Australia for a recital

  • Just wondering Valentina, what is your largest stretch you can reach on the piano?

  • if there were ever a better pianist, he would be dead and his name Beethoven

  • @kriteon Very true. :)

  • Sublime music, sublime interpretation. Thank you!

  • she beats Lang Lang (more heart).

  • @zwirn00 My 'hit by a car goose' beats langlang.

  • Beautiful beautiful hands!! and playing!

  • will you marry me ?

  • Solo questo so dirLe: Lei è meravigliosa! Grazie.

  • nice ending!

  • This piece seems to me an early version of the slow movement of the Hammerklavier - 6/8 time and very somber.

  • I feel the satisfaction in a beautiful tone that is not the decoration of an excessive self-insistence and a commercial principle.

We want to express our gratitude to the god for the existence of the wonderful pianist.

  • God this is now my favorite song, I am going to go buy all of your cd's. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us.

  • @signorelli21 SONG???????

  • When was this written? His Third Symphony, which is his first really mature orchestral work, was from 1803 and was opus 55. It seems his piano music matured much faster than the orchestral music.

  • Very true. It's unfortunate that most of his sonatas were confined to the 5 octave limit of the keyboards back then. You can hear how Beethoven was limited many times in the first movement!

  • @dsm2240 His Piano music is the best way to see his life, you always see his ideas first in his piano sonata's, than later in his string quartets, and then later in his symphonies.

  • Love all the new Beethoven! Your interpretations are always perfectly mesmerizing! Bravo.

  • It's not enough to play the notes, it's the WAY the notes are played that really touches my soul. What a beautiful interpretation of a moody, emotional piece this is! Thank you for posting this. Your playing always moves my heart.

  • Valentina always plays with taste.

I hope she also releases these video performances along with the cds.

  • Valentina Lisitsa goes in my favourites again! Thanks for your great and insipiring performances.

  • What can one say to such talent

  • Valentina, I was carried away into some other dimension through this piece, and your emotional performance of it.

  • Beautiful as usual. Valentina, do you really get into the music as much as you look like you are?

  • Muzyka jest najpiękniejszym wyrazem uczuć na jakie człowiek zdobyć się może. Rewelacyjnie!

  • very, very beautiful. It sounded more like an experience than just music. It keeps one's attention throughout the whole piece.
