Good to hear him talking about 9/11 not being what the officiial story says but I don't agree with his literal beliefs in the literal external factual events of the story of Christ.

I see symbolic stories about interior experiencial spiritual realization. Much in religions points to a common of spiritual experience (not data). 7 Chakras of India, Yoga ("Yoking or Union), Mohammed's journey through the 7 Heavens, Caduceus of Hermes .. symbolism of the internal connection with the Absolute.

Too many contradictions of the crucifixion, resurrection and rebirth myth for me to think the Jesus one was historical fact. No historical writings from known writers of the period made any real note of him. Babylon, India and Egypt all have earlier versions of the Myth. Sampson and Hercules were the same solar god. I'll reserve my "belief" on that one until I have more information.

The thing about beliefs is that once you form a belief you case build for it and argue against opposition to it.

Regardless of the proof - the philosophy of Jesus is unique, based around freedom. his ideas were not copied from anyone else's. His ideas of spirituality from within are concepts which define modern spirituality. Even the myth of Jesus is one of the most valuable concepts we possess because it gives us all a license to find truth on our own. So in some ways Jesus' words tell us that he is not real in the flesh and blood but as a spiritual idea. It's a completely different level of proof.
