@AceofDlamonds strength has very little bearing on card throwing. you just have to negate the air resistance by thwing it so that it "cuts" through the air, cards stop because air causes it to wobble and slow.

I can throw Magic the Gathering cards really well, but they're heavier, so it's easier to get them to go far. Whenever I try playing cards, they just flutter after going maybe 20 feet. Maybe wind is affecting it.

Bicycle Playing Cards are the best for card throwing, and believe it or not paper cards are easier to use when slicing veggies in half! Plastic Cards just dont work the same!

Control of the fingers and twist of the wrist. You dont need to extend your arms far. Once you make the card spin it goes by itself.

Put lots of spin on it. And yeah, it causes some stress. It's mostly wrist action, but you can use your arm to put more power in it, thereby taking away some of the stress from your wrist.

Because they used the wheel (there was room for error), Guinness used a steel tape measure and the actual world record is 216 ft 4 inches
