As Fresco and you claimed, we are in part a lot a product of our experiences, and he's claiming that changing the envirinment will change this human behaviour and he's right, very well proven by sociologists and neurologists.

@floritaka even if you were able to satisfy everyone's needs without having to work, through machines, computers, or whatever (unlikely), there's no way you could satisfy everyone's wants, you'd still have people competing, and collaborating for wants, and a need for laws, morality, security, etc. also, no matter what, you'd still have sadists, having a healthy, relatively happy environment may reduce sadism, but not eliminate it. how will he deal with antisocial behavior?

but we don't create feelings out of nothing, like some would have us believe. human nature is complex but it obeys laws of cause and effect, it isn't spontaneous, random, or fundamentally mysterious. if it was, some days i would just choose to love pencils more than my sister, or eat concrete. our behaviours have a history, they're rooted in our blood, experiences, interpretations of our experiences (understanding, beliefs), and finally in nurture, in passively mimicking others.

There is an uncommon technology that can serve as the grounds for agreement and cooperation. This technology was removed from the que back in 2001 when the Department of Defence was jilted by the Inventor in their attempts to pin down 51% controlling interest in the technology. It proved to be 99.99999% efficient as compared to 70-85% efficiency from todays equipment. This has potential, with or without the Venus Project though it is the technology that would fit the project like a glove.

From what Fresco has had to work with, and considering he built a large majority of this in the 70s (Check his Larry King interview) it's still pretty impressive. I've been a part of TZM for 3 years now, not too many of us still adore the Great White Circular city of Fresco's but the ideas and concepts remain the same.
