Let's say we get 2 hard drives, we install Windows on one, and Mac on another one.. there are 150GB left on both hard drives, guess which one will fill up faster? Windows :/.. which means, more cluttered shit in your hard drive, i've managed to keep my Mac clean, tidy, and fast.. while Windows I HAVE TO REINSTALL EVERY FEW MONTHS COZ OF GOD DAMN 2343908423 APPS IT INSTALLS :S

1. Mac's security is just as bad as Windows. Macs have less virus simply because there are less viruses for mac out there.

2. My PC doesn't crash at all.

3. "Easy to use" is subjective. To a lot of people, PCs are easier to use than macs.

Lastly, I'm not saying Macs are bad. Macs are good in its own ways. It's just that some of the complaints about PCs here are ridiculous.

this happens to allot of pc's but not all of them probably not even half, im a mac and windows, i like both, i like the fact that mac looks nice (interface and aesthetics wise) and how it dosent get viruses, but with a windows pc i can use all the programs that where origianally made because obviously only lately mac have started doing better, i suggest if your switching to any diffrent machine eg windows to mac, keep the windows machine it will come usefull sometimes :) thumbs up to agree? :)

I actually just had my first ACTUAL blue screen of death on Windows 7 (the same machine and install that inspired this video, actually). It's the first BSOD I've seen on Win7 so far. Happened when I clicked on "Open Network and Sharing Center" - blue screened, rebooted. Lost work in open programs :(

Its all in what you think the value is man. Ive administered many a windows machine in my time and i deal with the few minor annoyances in OS 10 to have a commercially supported BSD. And no workarounds are not solutions soo screensaver passwords and hot corners or 3 clicks deep just to return to the logout screen so some stranger can reboot my computer are not acceptable solutions for local security.

It is called locking your workstation. its a method of limiting access to your computer while you walk away with out logging out. It leaves all your applications running but presents a nice little box that tells the would be next user in essence "FUCK OFF THIS TERMINAL IS IN USE". In windows jab Meta (windows key/command) L and the terminal locks, in linux/BSD with X make sure you turn off virtual terminal switching and set the short cut key to your pleasure, OS X .... good luck

@KusuriRX I personally use a bit of software called 'Airlock' on my Mac that detects the presence of my iPhone and if it moves out of range locks down the workstation until I walk back into range - defeatable with a password of course. Handy to not have to remember to lock it, it just locks and unlocks itself.

it just flips it back to the login screen and the computer can be shut down by an unauthorized user. more over while it is a great concept my bluetooth pairing works about 3 % of the time. The point is while the work arounds work after you get them going, how could apple have not included such a BASIC physical security thing? Its a semi mild annoyance, there should be NO reason that i cant atleast hot key the work around, but a better "locking" mode would be ideal.

Obviously you've never used the product. It doesn't use bluetooth to pair with the device, it merely uses bluetooth to 'ping' it, so pairing is a non issue. Also, rebooting the device takes you back to the Airlock login screen even if you log in the account . Without the iPhone or the password, you cannot get into the account. It isn't a FULL SECURITY feature, but it is a great deterrent. Great product.

you're right i havent but part of the pairing process of blue tooth is a constant ping of your device, and using a radio scanner and some bluetooth tools I have issues with connectivity to my device at all, i would prefer not to chance having my system "locked" in the middle of working either. I would prefer to have an actual supported locking method built into the OS, and since every other OS has had it since about NT3.51, i dont understand why OSX doesn't.
