@RoyalAlba1 Any reason you need a knife for defense? I hate to think that people carry knives around for self defense. Its because of people that carry around knives for this purpose that you need a knife for that purpose(yes it is a vicious circle i know) The blade is solid and there is no way the lock will let the knife close by accident.
@statesmanls1 : I also share your opinion about knives and selfdefense. If you really need one, than you know how that selfdefense knife should be like. However, I started to carry knife also due to selfdefense - I ran into situation that I met a really bad looking aggressive dog. That time I realized I would have no chance if attacked...

would this be a good EDC/Defensive knife in your opinion ?
it has a pretty good steel but i wonder how strong and reliable the lock is

My Spyderco Military's blade isn't as centered as that and it's $130 USD. Looks like you got a good one, glad they sorted out the problems.
