The white 1959 Chevy El Camino (sitting in the driveway of Winnie Cooper's house) and used in the first two episodes of "The Wonder Years" and in the opening credits belonged to my dad..The movie studio paid him money for the use of his truck back in 1988..In the series, the car belonged to Winnie Cooper's brother, Brian Cooper, who was killed in Vietnam around the third episode

The narrator for The Wonder Years was originally actor Arye Gross...and its his voice you hear from 0:00 to 0:36 in this pilot episode from 1988. But from 0:58 to 1:08 it's the voice of Daniel Stern, who did the narration in every episode since.

I still remember watching the debut of this way back in 1988, just a few days after school started.

A DVD release is next to impossible. Even if it does happen, the episodes will be hacked to hell, so it'd be pointless.
