yes mark clifford did at least three live mixes for the cocteau's as well as this one and the other three remixes on 'otherness'. been trying to find them. massive attack completely stole his production from this and from seefeel's 'succour' album on warp. they just made it more commercial thats all.

I have to second that great point about the mix and Massive Attack. This is a great EP. The version of Cherry Coloured Funk is also good. It's trippy without really having a "groove".

I like to also bring out that slightly more

darker side to their music,which is sometimes

more prevalent.With this version,it certainly

sounds more scary than the original version.

Although I much prefer the M & K version of Violaine, the Otherness ones does have for me some great moments, like the super bass which your vid seems to pulse with. The highlight of this song for me is Liz' uppermost register backwards vocals, repeated here starting at 2:07, in a great multi-tracked mix. I like the occasional spacey guitar strumming, too, especially at about 4:13 on. Your vid has made me appreciate this version more than previously, shum.
