Also recorded by Tiny Bradshaw which is pure rhythm and blues and also the original i think...always liked this version too though..thanks for the posting..
@54Richie Tiny Bradshaw did record Well Oh Well first. They both recorded for King records and the owner, Syd Nathan, wanted his artists to record each others material keeping publishing profits in house. Mullican also covered Bradshaw's Train Train Kept A-Rollin'. Grandpa Stole My Baby by another King R&B singer, Roy Brown, also got the Mullican treatment. Interesting how financial (and other ) considerations helped to blend R&B and Country well before Elvis came along
Thy, I have this Song also only on one Album: The Greatest Country Music (Franklin Mint Record Society) It's a 2 LP Box also with Johnny Bunrtte on, awesome Vinyl quality.
:) thx, I know that you love Hillbilly!!! I was even shocked that this Song was not already at YT, it's in my eys's on of his best Songs, btw, from real Vinyl!
Great! Anyways I just found a tune in my record collection that I will upload and its something you above all might dig! Its not on YT so stick around bro! ;)
For some reason, on later reissues, the steel-solo,the guitar solo and the fiddle was omitted. What a shame. Such a great rocking recording!

@54Richie I mistakenly said Mullican covered Train Kept A-Rolling, I was wrong.
Bullmoose Jackson did cover Cherokee Boogie for King.
