  • Just recently really getting into Chicago, this is my first time hearing this, I love it! Amazing!!

I see i have a lot to look forward too. :-)

  • I agree with the guy who wished they still did these type of songs. If they went back into the studio and lived in a 'when we ruled the music world mindset' (they did from 72-79) ....I think they could do songs like this in a heartbeat. They are past the 'radio age' anyway. Their former drummer once said that "If they focused less on writing hit radio songs, they would have a huge Grateful Dead type of following"

CHICAGO- RETURN TO WHAT MADE YOU GREAT !!

  • saw them in the summer of '79 and they were amazing

  • 1:27 industrial horns. Traffic. 2:20 Chaotic horns. Confusion. Doubt. Fear. Where are we going? Gone? 4:58 Sanity again. Heed the warning. 5:50 Peace. Reflection. Calm. Hope.

  • @probrojeffro ----Interesting observation. Sounds like you were inside Pankows mind ! .

  • Thank you for posting.

  • This is also one of my favorite Chicago classics, I enjoy how Jimmy would play random notes in this piece.

  • Great songwriting, by Robert Lamm, and a vintage performance, by Jimmy Pankow & the entire band!

    Thanks so much for posting.

  • This is one of my all-time favorite Chicago songs...I wish they could still do these type of songs live...RLamm is a genius!
