  • Love this video - and laughed a few times :-)

I'm back to having loose natural hair after having dreadlocks for almost 5 years, and I've forgotten all the things I can do with my hair - and the biggest thing I've forgotten is how to not do anything to it at all. Thank you for the reminder that I don't always need to do two strand twists and all that mess, sometimes I can just shake and go!

  • This was a good video. I liked the message. We need to love ourself.

  • Love this video!!!!

  • Point well taken and well given... Bravo!

  • i hope you dont ruin your beautiful coils

  • I liked your video a lot. It was very creative and mentally stimulating. Thanks a bunch, and I hope u have a great day

  • I concur I like my natural hair better anyway I just didn't know it. Great video it's much easier when you accept yourself for who you are naturally;)

  • Secret to beautiful hair....Accept it for what it is. Love it and it will love you back. Great video.

  • standing ovation to you for this video. Ive been natural for a year and a half, and I straighten (press w/flaw iron) my hair entirely too much trying to corporate for my job. Im going to wear it the way it grows out of my scalp!!!

  • christina, I love all your videos, brilliant.

  • very nice and creative

  • look how easy!

  • I love this vid. Thank you so much for making it. self Love and aceptance is the best thing a person could do.

  • BRAVO! This s EXACTLY what society needs to see!

  • you said it perfectly..Natural hair is beautiful!!!!! love the video.

  • LOVED the video, and lovin your hair!!!!

  • Wow your hair is beautiful

if i had hair like that i would feel really tempted to relax it. Do you?

  • Nope. I wore my hair relaxed for many years. I got tired of sometimes getting scars, having to sit with the chemicals in my hair, straightening it, etc.... it seems like I do WAY less stuff now that my hair is natural. And I definitely don't have to worry about not scratching my hair before washing it!

My hair actually is not very thick, especially compared to my two sisters; and my texture is very much like soft spirals, it just doesn't look like that in the video. It looks better irl.

  • this is a beautiful video how clever!!! I like how when you start over and the anouncer says "natural beauty is possible" and you tie a ribbon around your hair and walk away. thats what I'm talking about!!!

  • Haha, glad you enjoyed it! I think every woman should feel what her natural texture is like at least once in life.

  • omg!this is such a brilliant vid.thanks.going in my favs.have you noticed that when our hair is natural it sits like a royal crown?

  • I sort of thought of it before like a mane, except for only male lions have manes.... so that didn't work well. Your analogy is better! =D

  • haha...i love it ... lol

  • Thank you!

  • Oh thanks! I'm afraid of a feature, but that's still a compliment! =P

  • Very vintage-like video ; i love the irony.

  • me too

  • Glad you liked it!

  • Hahaha, that's my favorite thing about it =D

  • i have the curly hair too. I prefer its nagtural. Straighting them is so unhealthy :(

  • Yeah, it feels so crispy afterwards. I hate that.

  • very nice vid

  • Thanks!

  • where did you find those vintage sound bites? cute...

  • Go to archive [dot] org, there are tons of ephemeral films on there from the 50s, 60s, etc.

  • Nice Video:)

  • I LOVE this video. Very clever, creative and delivers a profound, meaningful message!

  • Thank you!

  • Love it.

  • Thank you!

  • i always thought those hair straighteners wouldn't work very well in nappy hair? that's why i never used one (i use hot comb), what hair straighteners do use? i wouldn't mind getting myself one of those? also to make your hair soft use conditioner, don't use shampoo, it makes your hair much easier to comb through.

  • Well my hair texture is medium-grade. I used to get a relaxer, but if I needed to straighten it now, I would blow dry it out and then straighten it with a pressing comb or flat-iron.

I try to stay away from standard shampoos.

  • yep, that's the best thing you can do, but i wouldn't blow dry your hair though it will dry your hair out and make it difficult to comb, just towel dry it out.

  • Great Video !

  • Thanks!

  • That was nice the way you hooked up that video

  • Thanks a lot!

  • favorite!
