  • yea you seem to have no spin... just the up and down roll motion. think of a ball on an axis

  • yo i kno this video seems a lil old but jus a pointer use ur right leg to kick harder. and make sure to collapse properly. use ur right arm to actually push like toward ur face. and i'd lessen the hip thrust. its all in the kick of ur legs. thrustin with ur hips will throw u awkwardly high not allowin u to get the sweep right. and also ur left hand instead of usin it to push u to roll over use it to twist around ur right arm.

  • uhhh... i dont think your stab is suppose to go that high. i used to do it like that so just keep working on it. watch tutorial vids they help.

  • i'd say kick one leg at a time and keep em locked. Right now your leg angle is going out then in then out then in. Its going in particularly when u restab. But i'm sure ur better now so i dunno how much this would help.

  • Hey man, I have the same problem right now. I found out what I was doing wrong by asking my teacher and now I'm working on fixing it. If you watch other windmill videos then you may notice that their body is rotating about 180 degrees on the floor. That way they are able to stay in close to the same spot. On your first kick you need to follow through with your right leg more.

    if you wanna do forearm mills, you should try staying in a small amount of space first, you should actually spin more on your back then from just rolling from shoulder to shoulder, doing backspins would help like bboybarbie said

  • you sure that's the way you spin? haha cause thats how my cousin's looked, i had him do the other way even tho it didn't feel right to him

    and it was actually cleaner and after doing it a couple times he said it felt more comfortable

    you should learn atomic windmill

    it'll help you have more momentum and more speed which should help you get used to do em without stabbing all the time

  • Your collapse is almost non existant. That's why you end up doing something closer to halos instead of windmills. You REALLY need to correct that form before you keep improving your incorrect mills and go too far to repair.

  • man... i GUESS that go down too much when it's on your back... I mean, U pull too much your leg, so U can't keep the speed... and sometimes U bend your legs... always try to keep em straight. (sry, my english isn't the best, so correct anything wrong, plz)

  • I think it's your legs. You might not be swinging them around as much as you should be that's why you're not moving in real circles.

  • Try to hold your handglide freeze for a split second longer. I'm CCW and I don't collapse until just before my head is in the same direction as my fingers (I point my fingers to the left)

    and it seems you know how to swing your right leg, but you have to work on keeping your legs wider by moving that left leg, too. I think the reason it looks like you're bouncing is 'cause your left leg doesn't keep the momentum going smoothly.

  • everything looks great. as people have said before its your collapse that is killing your momentum. a smooth collapse allows you to get to your back without losing that momentum from your first kick. i have a vid on windmills, the only thing you would find useful is the short collapse demonstration i give in the vid. my legs are what need work in my mills. still practicing...

    except for one thing.

    your legs have to keep swinging, and they have to be apart at all times. the legs are the most important part of a windmill, or pretty much any power move. keep them swinging, and you'll get it

You need to collapse onto ur forearm then roll onto your back that will prevent you from looking like your bouncing and it'll make it look smoother. I'm guessing you have a huge bruise on your right arm? lol. This will help u get higher up on your back too. Keep your legs wider apart.

  • i'm not an expert, but my advice to you is to try to stay in the same spot when you do windmills cuz you're doing them in a huge circle.

    and the reason why your windmills do this is because you stab for too long.

    Try to collapse more quickly

    and pump your legs faster, one at a time.

  • thanks so much, also, does ur lower back hit the ground? cuz i always have this one spot , unless i go really high on my shoulders, that i hit and its on my spine.. and i alwys get the bruise in the same spot... do u ever get that?

  • you have to put more power in them!

    with more momentum your windmills will look much cleaner and its gonna be easier for you to connect them
