Parties have been held on the Circle Line of the London tube for very many years - it's a sort of tradition....groups of people have organised food and wine and music parties on the Circle Line trains many times over the years, and with your ticket you can ride round and round and round again on the Circle Line as many times as you like having a good time. Yea all very well you guys had fun, but as someone who works on the tube probably what you didnt hear about was the thousands of normal saturday night people, families returning from theatres concerts and shopping had to get home in this. On my station, 2 people fell on the track, could easily have been killed, 2 policemen got assaulted, and bottles were thrown at opposite platforms, some injuring innocent travellers INCLUDING KIDS. Anybody joining in at all the station stops could either watch the fun or even have nibble or two and a sip of wine or soft drinks in civilised fashion. It's always been like that, but mass drunken orgies like this are a different matter altogether. This is a sign of the times with boozed up chavs ruining Britain's reputation. Too much money to spend and too little common sense to know how to handle the booze they buy by the tanker full. Alcohol MUST be treated with respect in England.

London is NEVER dull, that's for sure. Parties have been held on the Circle Line of the London tube for very many years - it's a sort of tradition....groups of people have organised food and wine and music parties on the Circle Line trains many times over the years, and with your ticket you can ride round and round and round again on the Circle Line as many times as you like having a good time. All good fun. The Circle Line is best for this for obvious reasons....going round and round......

I am calm, a minority of people that were arrested yes. To all you killjoys out there, this was the last night it was legal to drink on the tube system (thank you very much Boris Johnson) and naturally, people threw a party in rebellion/joy, it was a just bit of harmless fun. To the best of my knowledge, no one died or was seriously hurt.
Get over it. Drunkeness like this has never been an issue for the TFL as a whole, it only arose because it was the last opportunity to do so.

Yea all very well you guys had fun, but as someone who works on the tube probably what you didnt hear about was the thousands of normal saturday night people, families returning from theatres concerts and shopping had to get home in this. On my station, 2 people fell on the track, could easily have been killed, 2 policemen got assaulted, and bottles were thrown at opposite platforms, some injuring innocent travellers INCLUDING KIDS. Keep parties in clubs and pubs, don't bring it on the tube thx

Man, people need to lighten up. Most people went along last night to have fun and not litter or assault people. There were obviously a select few people who took it too far. Most of the time, drunks on the tube don't drink on public transport but have been drinking in bars and pubs etc and are using public transport to get from place to place (which is what tubes are for)I wasn't there, but I know people who were and they are professionals, aged between 25 and 30. So not immature retards.

I was there last night with friend and had only a few drinks. It was fun and a certainly didnt feel like I was in any danger. It came down to having a final laugh. Its not like this is going to happen again is it?? It was just fun and one of these things you wont forget.

My personal view is that alcohol on a public transport system should be banned. There are a multitude of individuals who feel uncomfortable in the presence of drunks and those imbibing alcohol. Those in power were elected by the majority to represent their interests, I would say that many feel they have it right on this occasion. I am at a loss as to how getting drunk and damaging trains can be considered a viable method of protest, it was merely a reason for an immature display
