I have the same amp, a guy once told me "You can't get the Gilmour tone with that amp." Well, actually noone except David can, but you can get pretty close with that amp!
@JamesShore1990 Thank you very much. hi gain is a great amp at really "economic" price on my opinion. it have a great clean and great british distortion. Fender twins are good too to get the Gilmour tone. However, it is true that the hiwatt custom series is far superior and different. Warmer, more dynamic

@JamesShore1990 BEST SETTINGS FOR HIWATT HI-GAIN 50 ( NOT POINT TO POINT MODEL)
INPUT GAIN clean channel ( from 2'o clock - to 4'o clock)
Bass 12'o clock
Middle 2'o clock
Treble 10'o clock
presence 1'o clock
master 10'o clock - to 2'o clock
this can be used as clean channel with or without effect pedals ,in case of effects pedals you can lower the input gain fron 2'o clock to 12'o clock .
If you put to Garbage the stock Electroharmonix tubes and put some nos Mullard's inside you will have an Update to this Head of 60-70% your tone will be smoooth ,sustained, and HUGE , try some ebay tubew and remember the Phase Inverter 12at7 /ECC81 should be balanced and high gain and makes at this stage all the job to your tone
