  • Japan has Valentine's day? Hm, I thought that since they have such superior intellect, they wouldn't be interested in trivial matters such as love. I guess I was wrong.

  • you need a big glass of milk to go with it or some giant marshmallows and graham crackers

  • for sure...and then something for the stomach cramps!

  • W O W

  • That's freakin cheap. You should have that as a prize for an upcoming contest. I wouldn't even eat it, just display it that I have a huge chocolate bar.

  • That would be a good prize...don't l know if I could afford to mail it though!! hehe

  • That's true. I am sure shipping would easily cost more than the chocolate bar.

  • absolutely...at least 3 times as much if I sent it to Canada!

  • That candy bar is big enough to share! :::HINT!::: :::HINT!::: :::HINT!:::

But, is the chocolate as good as, say, a Hershey's? Is Meiji the favorite brand?

What are you buying your sweetheart for Valentine's Day? (I got my hubby chocolates). Would you say the Japanese prefer to give chocolates, or flowers, one more than the other? What is the norm? I bet there are all kinds of Hello Kitty items and cute things like that to choose from for Valentine's Day! Shoppers heaven!

  • Seems that chocolate is the most popular thing here...mind you I'm speculating. This will be my first Valentine's Day here in Japan. Of course there are many "ultra cute" things everywhere to choose from!

  • Oh yeah...Meiji is a Japanese brand...their equivelant of Hersheys

  • NICE!

  • Can you imagine how long it would take to eat that huge candy bar. That's probly more than enough for a whole year!

  • for sure...have no idea how long that would take me to eat...a long time!

  • we have cadbury's bars that big if not bigger in england for valantines day.

  • eeeeeekkkkk...really?

  • thats a heart attack bar

  • almost as bad as a box of bacon!

  • Hrm. Damn you milk~ I cannot enjoy the Meiji greatness without it leading to uncomfortableness.

  • uuhhh...sorry to hear that :(

  • I use to love Ghana chocolate when I was in Japan.

I hope people who gift the huge Meiji choco to their lovely parson will get huge success hehe...

    Have a good one!!

  • I plan to give a lot of chocolate! ;)

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • I'll tell my students that's what I want!

  • My students aren't big enough to carry one of those! hehe But, I'll still demand they get me one :)

  • lol demand!?

  • hehe...

Whether I ask, demand or beg, normally...I'm just ignored! lol

  • Damn that is one huge chocolate bar!

  • Sure is! I may just have to get one!
