i wanted to go but as i recall the tickets were insanely expensive, especially since it's only shitty unlv football.
this year the tix are $75, who the fuck does unlv think they are? maybe they should get a better football program before charging up the ass with games they'll mostly get blown out in (aside from this one)
Were you at the game? I was sitting in the UNLV student section, and the dumb as@es made as much noise as they could when they had the ball on 3rd down! I couldn't believe how little they knew about football.
It sure was a good time, from what I remember. We also met Al Toon and got a picture with him.
As a UNLV fan that makes it to all the games, I'll say this. It's fucking embarrassing. As you said, our fans will make all sorts of noise when we're at 3rd down, my friends and I will be yelling "OFFENSE YA IDIOTS!" to them and try to shush them down, but it's to no avail, they just keep yelling. *Sigh*
What makes it worse is when the opposition has the ball, they all stay quiet, and I'm one of the few trying to make as much noise as possible.
I feel for you to have to put up with such idiotic crowds. Forgive them, for they know not what they do. lol
I'll be back next year when the Badgers come to town. I'm sure it will be another packed house. And, it gives me an excuse to go to Vegas! The best road trip a Wisconsin fan could ask for. Good luck this year.
And I wish you good luck as well. It will probably be a packed house, though I can't necessarily say that it will be filled with our fans. Our last two games (Oregon State and Hawaii) were essentially neutral field games, with one half of the stadium being UNLV and the other being the opposition.
I personally love it though, it adds to the excitement of the game, but it would be nice to see all red one of these days (with it not being a game against Utah BTW).

The Badgers fans outnumbered the UNLV fans by about 90% on UNLV home field.

It was more like 60-40, but the Badgers fans were a TON louder.
