I agree with the the comment about traffic cutting thru behind the Taco Cabana street. While I "get" motorists giving those people that force their way into traffic, some people are just OVERLY generous and allow multiple cars access, holding up traffic even more. It's downright IRRITATING,
One of the reasons Encino Rio has such a high volume is people from Evans cut through behind Taco Cabana to force their way into traffic to get the light at Encino Rio because Evans was too short a cycle. This will only continue or get worse as people try to avoid having to turn right and then turnaround, so I guess putting a left turn there was the right thing, since they won't close the access through the shopping center.
I just thought that there were not going to be any cross-traffic left turns from side streets ... that all side street turns would be right and if you need to go the other way, go to the turnaround.
Why is Encino Rio still going to have cross traffic access to turn left at 281? Does this not defeat the purpose of the superstreet? There is no cross traffic access at the Evans intersection, or the others, so why Encino Rio???
@mveith22 ncino Rio has a high volume of left hand turns - and based on the engineering recommendation for this project, we have placed three left hand turn lanes on Encino Rio to handle the high directional traffic at this intersection.

I noticed that they were putting a new turn signal in the intersection this morning. Doesn't that defeat the entire concept of the Super Street?
