Remember what happened when the rebels got their independence? They attacked the neighboring republic of Dagestan, thereby baiting Russia into a second war and had their country destroyed even further by the Russian military. No matter what happens, Chechnya is fucked. Except with the current government, they're just slightly, slightly less fucked.
