  • for the people who don't know Gary Lam had Wong Shun Leung for teacher. . .

  • nice video..

  • Wing chun3 so fast nicr job ;-)

  • Any video of anything like this landing on a decent and resisting opponent?

  • "100% knockout"

I dont think so. I know guys you can punch in the head all day long and they will just laugh at you.

Im not belittling WSLWC. I am a practitioner myself having trained under 2 well known Sifu's. One of whom was trained directly by WSL. Im just saying that there is no way thats 100% knockout (the backfist).

The Outside hand is also not Wing Chun, It is a JKD move. (But its good to see it integrated here)

  • @gambleyourhealth Yes ,its is very possible to knock someone out with a backhand or any other method. You see too many people who are very little experience comment on things they think is right.Do you tell your teacher he teaching wrong because what you think is right. It can happened I have over 35 yrs experience in martial arts I'm certified international champion in 2002 etc.I just smh when i hear other non experience people who think they know all about the art & really know little about

  • looks like you have many possibilities to react against a straight punch but you dont explain when to use this technics. even it looks flashy i have my doubts about the effectivness in a street situation. imo i still prefere leung ting wt over wsl wc.

  • @seriousrampage Most prefer any branch over the LT branch, this is a demo vid, what, you expect him to break down the whole WC system in under 4 mins lol, and if you train long enough, its not about when to use the technique, it is about naturally reacting to the attack without thinking, the training will teach your body how and when to react, for thought brings hesitation, and he who hesitates, meditates on the horizontal plane.

  • Very interesting. Always good to see different ways of utilizing Wing Chun

  • Good drill. But martial artists dust be aware of what is drill and what is reality.

  • Bruce Lees Fav is cool

  • not bad

  • Oh shit,I'm blinking.

  • Oh shit I'm blinking.

  • Wow best gung fu i seen yet.. Very good and i like the pak sao very much, we use it in our Jujitsu.

  • Very good! nice video!

  • i love it

  • What about fast punches? Your opponent will not punch like in this video, he would punch very fast and dynamic. Then it does not come to hand contact, the hand techniques are not used. Isn´t this a huge problem? How do you see that?

  • I study wing chun for awhile. This pak sau drill is more jkd. In traditional wing chun you square up and your sifi drills you. Whats cool about wing chun you learn about position and pressure (energys). Once you have a good understanding. Then learn JKD pac drills. I love the back fist. So fast and dangers. Via la ving tsun son.....

  • I know nothing about martial arts, but from the point of pure common sense: hard to imagine such subtle punches like shown to be really effective, strong enough, unless you have the jabs like Klitschko or so. :-)

  • @luque17777 correct...i did wing chun for 3 years and i learnt (myself) that you cant always adhere to perfect structure or technique to transfer power properly

  • do u know wat a pak sao is??? cos it dont look like it

  • Awesome if you know how to use it!!

Very effective has worked for me in pub fights!

Well done Evangelos and Gary !

    Long live WSL!!

  • Very good demo, nice and direct. I like videos like this where the instructor is showing us the techniques not showing off or beating up the students. Nice work, would like to see more. Thank you.

  • great work!!

  • Thank you Sifu evangelos for posting this video.

Peace Love Union and Respect from Mexico.

  • Parabens SIFU!

  • Very nice tehniques, I have a question for you, if I am in Hong kong And want to train some wing chun some good wing chun, who would you recomend, Wan kam leung or sombody els? your opinion / Blessings to you, keep on the good spirit, and a big hellow to greece.

  • Where can I get that DVD?? That tutorial was fire!

  • Good video good teacher, I invite you to see my channel, there are good videos wing chun, Greetings from Spain

  • All WSL guys make me freaking proud to be a wing chun man!

  • nice!

  • WSL lineage at its best.

  • Oh man i love these pak sau moves. Do you have a DVD on this Sifu Evengelos?

  • I appreciate what you are showing.Thanks!

  • sehr gut,very good!

  • Where is this DVD available and do you have anymore?

  • If he does that I do this... sound not like wingchun to me, but this is a clip about training. What I have to say is: vids are good to lure people and any explanation of a scientific-system should be welcomed! BUT: one has to go to a good teacher, who assets ones physical state. That teacher can show you those things, you have to practise in a daily routine (the forms). Any shortcuts over techniques will spoil your wingchun and make you the next founder of your own `wingchun´-style...

  • congratulations Sifu, eventually you will become master in your own right, not just a Gary Lam senior student. i am very impressed by your skills. your students are very lucky to have you.

  • @sifuevangelos

This is extremely impressive, I wish I had the time and training to be able to do this. Keep up the good work and God bless.

  • look at the student not the camera

bet you dont have student any more

  • good man

  • gb

  • good good good

  • Nice...I have trained all these drills with Peter Hsu in Shanghai for a long time...this is great documentation Sifu Evangelos...keep them coming...

  • @milkbunnies

Have you tried these in the burbs, bunny boy?

  • Excellent video! I'm going to begin training with Sifu Lam as soon as I heal from hernia surgery. Please keep posting videos Sifu.

  • loving th easy to follow instructions on the basics or for that matter advanced applications....I will of course be stealing those and would appricate you post a little more, which will most definatley convince many to buy...thank for a good post.

  • How does # 2 work? It looks like the punch lands. There was no deflection or blocking. Please explain.

  • @gorfjorf

Actually a good question, Front hand inside counter is very difficult to do in that

short trainings distance but must absolute done so you can cover the attack angel in the upper gates(Above solar plexus) In a fighting situation you have to swift a bit away in this action and you are not locked like this.

If your opponent is fast jab and re trite use the one hand with step forward and follow him if he moves into to you you have to use action # 6 pull him and hit with the back Hand.

  • @sifuevangelos - Thanks for the reply. Hard to understand in text. I would love to train Gary Lam's wing chun. Unfortunately I am in Japan. I will be moving to Hong Kong soon. I sent Gary Lam an email but I got no answer...I wanted to know if he recommended any schools in Hong Kong. Maybe you have some recommendations?

  • @gorfjorf2112112

Yes i have a very good one a high level Sifu its Private he don't teach in schools

a hidden DRAGON very Close Brother to me...he dont accept everybody and has

    his price too.

Catch me on skype for more information skype name: evangelos18-11

  • @gorfjorf2112112 To me all those hits landed. Its becuz he knows what is coming he is doing that trapping pak sao stuff. In a real movement, you have opponents that are alive, If you dont have your defence high you will get hit on the nose. Thinkin trapping works. Im not convinced.

  • @hakui211

Translation: "Hand techniques advanced/sophisticated and precise, explanation very clear. ^ ^ (A rare sight to see) a Wing Chun high-hand/expert/high-master!!"

瀟灑俐落,餓虎下山般,靓! (graceful and crisp, like a hungry tiger that has come down from the mountain, KO-beautiful!) (cultural note, the Chinese know, a tiger only comes down from the mountain when he is starving and there's not enough food on the mountain, out for blood; it means these moves are not for show but mean serious business)

  • Very good and very useful drill. Wing chun is all about deriving your own meaning from the drills ive seen this drill performed in a number of ways each time I learn something different. of course footwork would improve the effectiveness of the application but what is application without understanding and if you understand it why do you need to practice application.

I look at this as a way to train my different pak sau speed and understand that in reality i would want to move.

  • Very Nice

  • 手法精準、講解清晰。^ ^ 詠春高手!!

  • impressive!!!

  • Bravo sifu Evangelos!!!! very nice linage wing chun!fast strong and balance!

  • Did you notice that the arm fully stretched is not hitting? A defence is useless if no attack can hit you...

The exercise is totally wrong without footwork.

  • @sheng81 Agreed, without footwork its just total crap. And besides that master does Hammer-like punches, but only sometimes :D

  • @sheng81 Lol that's not a Gwoh Sau or Chi Sau exercise there you can do that

that's a 12 Pak Sao long distance drill to make your hands and reflexes sensitive in that distance.

Actually we lock our legs to keep distance to not hurt each other and be able in the same time to punch full speed and power without blowing your students HEAD away.

Wing Chun defense and rapid counter attack training in a very smart way for those who understand !!!

  • Beautiful wing chun

  • Very nice done. Where is the video where grand master gary lam demostrate it? / Shiifu M.

  • good.

  • Very good..alot of speed and power!
