Nice work! That's a good idea; I like the 7 segment display and how you made it flash! One of my friends try to make a TLC555 LED flasher with four 470 Ohm resistors, a 10 micro farad capacitor, a TLC555/TLC555CP IC, two 3V LED's and a 9-15VDC power source. It worked, but after awhile, he figured it kinda sucked. He had wanted to return the parts. But instead, he handed it over to me. This video could be within his desire, I determined after I saw this video. (OMFG there's like 0 characters left

dear derekaggs, please Google "PCB" or printed circuit board, it is a type of more complex "circuit" and if you have a personal computer, and an internet conection running the windows operating system 95 and older you can buy free software to make BCP's and print it out if you have a printer, this is what you making is called bread bord as such i can tell your very new to tech, so i wellcom you to the world of electronics ;)

use two 555, 1 in astable, 1 in monostable, connect the output (pin 3) of the monostable 555 to the reset (pin 4) on the astable 555. The timing you have to calculate yourself sorry, but if it helps, set the astsable for 1 second and the monostable for just over 3 seconds. Worked for me.

If the two frequencies are evenly divisible by each other then no.

no. you could just invert the signal to get them to flash at reciprocal intervals (same frequency). if you wanted them to flash at different intervals you'd need another 555 (as far as i know).
