Thats fucking impressive as all hell and I don't usually say that to everyone.. in fact I criticize most tracks I hear. So take that as a HUGE compliment. I guess you can't really bounce everything (to save cpu) cause of all the automations you got going on. How many instances of sytrus is that? Just curious.

the cpu usage is so annoying but i just tick off the vst pluggins i rarely use to save the space , i only stick to nexus 2 and gladiator2 for vst . very nice dreamy trance track indeed keep up the good work.:))

As poster suggested in the vid's screentext, Sytrus can use a lot of CPU, especially when the sound uses Unison mode (which that incident of Sytrus appeared to be using).

If the Unison mode is set to 4, for example, Sytrus uses 4 times as many operators and filters for each note.

Make sure the .dll files are installed to your VstPlugins folder in your Program Files drive. It's where FL Studio reads the VSTs from.

hahaha, there´s nothing wrong with the lead, at least I haven´t noticed anything, just 1 note in the bassline out of the main chord (sounds a little "pitchy" because of the dissonance) after the beautiful breakdown, but that´s just a little detail...

Most VSTs rely heavily on processing power. A soundcard provides Digital Signal Processing, which basically helps take the load off the CPU when the VST accesses the memory. So a good CPU and a decent soundcard and you have the best of both worlds ^^

I have a magazine sub called Computer Music that do an entire freeware music suite every month with replica synths. It's not a patch on the real Zebra 2, but Zebra CM still does a hell of a good job, and sounds amazing for being free ^^

from all the freeware VST I've browsed Zebra seemed the best, but you should try to get others like sylenth or predator, they're amazing and you can morph the sounds good, using Reason on rewired is also cool, some instruments there are breathtaking, you should try it too :)

I know how frustrating it is to produce on an old PC, especially when doing a comlex Trance song, if I add more than a few VSTs playing at the same time on my 6 yr old PC I get screwed. :P

yea man I have a pretty much the same age PC and Its damn hard to work. I have the interpolation to linear on the mixer so I can work decently. Without ASIO I would be totally screwed

ASIO is a life-saver, but in my case I turn up the buffer size to increase performance but I lose in MIDI responsiveness, and when I hit a note on my synth it plays like 2 seconds later! XD And of course I also use linear interpolation, it is pretty hard working on a higher setting. :P

An upgrade is coming soon hopefully... :)

It can get very frustrating at times, especially when you're exporting every five minutes just to hear one little change. Luckily a new 3Ghz Dual Core and ASUS mobo is on the way ^^

I've toyed around with the drums for a fair bit and I don't want to make them too much stronger because it will sorta ruin the synth work in the build and climax. If anything they can be a little bit sharper.
