@Remaanahk When you're playing a guitar, each string has a certain tune to it. Your strings when in standard tuning go from E, A, D, G, B, & E.
However, when you tune down a half step, that means that you lower the sound of the strings. If you have an electric tuner, you can tune down each individual string to make it this: Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, & Eb.
Don't apologize for being new to guitar. That's exciting that you are learning to play!
@FromTheAshes7 Thanks for answering his question. I didn't see his post so I'm glad guys like you are willing to help out. I couldn't have put it better myself.
@FromTheAshes7 Thanks, and on the electric tuner it only has a # an b sign, and each time I attempt to try to tune, the light goes from red to green, I understand it's meant to be green meaning it's tuned? I'm seriously new to this so...sorry if it's getting to your nerves.
@Remaanahk No, no, it's fine. I'm not annoyed at all! I asked questions as well when starting off. With your tuner, the "b" means flat. The "#" sign means sharp. When you pluck a string, you want to try and get as close as you can to the green light as much as possible. However, it won't always be perfect, so get close to it.
@FromTheAshes7 Alright, thanks so much man. You really helped me out. And now since I know for sure you're a nice person, I'm going to subscribe to you.
