i am 22 now and i watched these videos as well, i enjoyed and had fun with all of these different presentations of pronouns, verbs, adjectives, etc, etc. =) a ROCK ON to this program.
Hahahahaha I love this. I'm only 19 but I know that I will never be able to have as much fun as I did when I was a kid. I remember picking up rocks for a whole summer for no reason but me and my friends had so much fun. Or that joy of Christmas morning. Man fun times.
Good ole saturday mornings fighting for the 1 tv set in the house with 3 stations and a rabbit ear anntenae...lol Scooby and hs buddies, or papa smurf and his village or maybe it was superman and his super hero friends, don't forget he-man or pac-man and even the monchi chi's...lol either way late 70's early 80's were the best.
im 17 years old, and even thouh these were made before my time, this is how i learned....THEY ARE HELPFUL AND SHOULD BE USED IN SKOOLS...MIND U I READ ON A 5TH GRADE LEVEL WHEN I WAS IN KINDERGARTEN!!! TRUST ME IT WORKS!
I watched this video today in 6th grade. My teacher wanted to learn this in a fun way cuz when she was little she watched it. My friends and I sang this songs all day they were catchy
This was always one of my favorites. Great Saturday morning memories. I love SHR and the music is just great. The bass, the flutes, piano's etc. never sounds dated.
The girls backpack seems to have it's own personality, and wears the pot like a ballcap backwards. :)
@jamesbond504 ... I feel the exact same way. Brings back such fond memories of my childhood days -- watching this on Saturday mornings. Fond memories of times of ease, calm and happiness.
aw man i miss this, last time i watched this was when i was like 5 or somthin...pretendhate ill unpack some adjectives with you lol, heres one FOGGY :D
Hi there! Thank you sooo much for putting this up. I am sooo happy that I grew in a time where cartoons were cartoons; this brings me a lot of memories:)
I'm 41 now and a man! yet looking at these again made me shed a tear! where did the time go. This is how we learned. This was our saterday school! Life has change and these kids don't know what they missed. I remember sitting on the floor in the bedroom eating super sugar crisp! I wanna go back.lol
@gotnoni And the sad thing is Super Sugar Crisp doesn't exist anymore by that name, its now Super "Golden" Crisp...even though I'm sure it's still made the same exact way, but we all know how BAD sugar is for us! lol
@259 Only people who have successfully passed Calculus. Now how many elementary school students who watch School House Rock know Calculus? There are some people who still get confused learning multiplication by watching Multiplication Rock!
well, i just knew about School House Rock a few months ago because im doing it for my scho musical this year...
we were put into three groups and the songs were spread among the groups evenly... im in group 3... in doing (singing AND dancin) Adjectives, Interplanet Janet, Great American Melting Pot and Interjections and im doing back-up for nouns, and 3 is the magic number and more but i can't think of them... =]
These were great when I was a kid, shown between shows on Saturday morning. Nice tunes, cute drawings and actually taught kids something. Imagine that.

Now who can interpret that calculus problem that the fat dumb kid who was standing next to the brainy kid with glasses said in this cartoon?
BigBlueBeast 2 years ago
It's a definite integral. The general purpose of an integral is to find the area under a curve.
As it turns out, the integral in this video is both performed and evaluated correctly, which I never noticed when I was a kid. :)
