Dueling Dragons at Universal's Islands of Adventure (pre Harry Potter)

It's amazing how long the que line is for this ride. Took you like 10 minutes just to walk through it...

Oh and they also took out the two dragons in the entrance and now it's just a wall with a lame archway. I don't get why they couldn't have just painted the dragons or altered them to look like the ones from the movie, or even made them look like brick/cement that blended into the wall they created.

I'm sad that because Dueling Dragons is now apart of Harry Potter, there's basically no decorations in the halls that you're in while you wait in line. The decor of the castle was a major reason why I loved that ride so much and now it's just boring to walk through. I don't think keeping the old decorations would have clashed at all with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme.

In my opinion,I think the old Que was so much better,now there's nothing in the que,just candles which reminds me of space Mt. and eggs golden eggs,and the wizard dude isnt there anymore,he was cool

No, they're not getting rid of ay of the rides in the new Harry Potter area. They'll just be renaming the rides. ueling Dragons will be called Dragon's Challenge and the Flying Unicorn will have a name with Hogwarts in it. They are also adding a new 4D motion ride much like The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman.

@1SANTISTA1, Apparently, from what I have heard. Everything is the same. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be located on the right side of the park. Lost Continent will be a bit smaller, but not by much. Apparently, the 2 huge statues of the fire and ice dragon of Dueling Dragon's Main Entrance have been removed. :( Also, the family roller coaster next to Dueling Dragons called The Flying Unicorn, will be shut down but reopened with a new name.

Another awesome video! I really didnt get to see the queue in too much detail. When I went last July, it was my first time on DD. I remember the detail though, like where the dragon(s) apparently crashed through the roof/doors etc. I cannot wait to see what they have dreamed up for HP! I am sure it will be just as magical!

That line was a real pain to get through (the ones protecting HP progress) at least we still got to go through the castle which is always fun. Mainly went for HHN though.

I hope you enjoy your trip. I gotta warn you though, there are construction walls up in the Lost Continent area as they're transforming that area into the Wonderfull Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The Dragons are still opperating but the iconic twin dragons at the entrance are said to have been removed. I've also been told you can enter the Dragons from the Jurassic Park side near the old bridge.

I hope you enjoy the trip. Front row on both sides (Fire and Ice) is well worth the wait and yes they're completely different rides.
