I love how Neil after banging the crap out of the big symbols hits that tiny little lone symbol at the very end. It works perfectly. Pure genius. That's why they call him the professor.
Loved the vid. Thanks. I have a few also (check them out). I bet you have the SONY DSC-H55. Great camera for concerts, Especially with the 10x optic zoom. BIG problem is SONY's decision to mute the highs when zooming, to reduce the whir of the zoom motor. I have the same cam, and avoid zooming at all costs.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled people make poor decisions and reach erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to recognize their mistakes.[1] The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their own abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority.
as much as rush represents not being obsessed with girls and hair and materialistic things like that, i have to say THE CHICK WHO PRESSES THE BUTTON IS FUCKING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAYUMMMM!!!!!!
@StickHits I understand now...lol. Well you know it's a one shot deal. Sometimes it turns out really good, sometimes it doesn't. There are time I watch my own videos and I say the same thing you just did! Just like on the one I shot of the opening intro and Spirit of Radio when Alex was doing his solo at the end and i got confused between zooming in and zooming out, but it all worked out! :-)
Wow thanks. I saw them on their last stop of the tour. It was a choice between Vancouver or the Gorge as they are pretty much the same distance from where I am. The Gorge is a sonic treat as well as being incredibly beautiful. Vancouver is almost always a sonic nightmare. The last time I saw Rush there it was painful to listen to. My wife's not a Rush fan but she enjoyed the show, especially this video. It is very, very funny.
Flew from Calgary to Vancouver just to see them. It was the second last show, and my god what an awesome concert. thx for the post. just reliving the memories right now. Congrats on the floor seats.
Saw them last night in Vancouver Wa. at the Sleep Country Amphitheater. Awesome show as always. They rearanged a few songs since the last time I saw them. I hope they come back next year.
it was a great concert last night! I like the part in the video when the band switches places and neil pert is doin a guitar solo. haha but you cant really see it on this vid.
The videos during the concert were hysterical! Amazing show. Being in a sea of Rush fans is special, too. You arrive at the concert loving Rush and you leave loving them even more.
Saw them last night, London, the streets of Westminster!!!!! MOving Pitchers!!! Still overawed by the show, the humour, the music, so good to be able to see these videos properly, they deserve proper viewing as a lot of the subtleties are lost on the night. Great show.
Just saw the boys in Hershey, PA and OMG what a show! now tyring to contain myself until the show here in Baltimore. I am in the 7th Row on Alex's side and just can not wait. If you are going, look for me, I'll be the long haired guy in the RUSH shirt.
@ProdigalChild1, that's what Canadians are. It's not just Rush. Michael Buble, Red Green on PBS, Jim Carrey, Stephen Colbert (who ironically had Rush on the Colbert Report), the works.
I find it funny how they absolutely slam Ray Daniels in the skits throughout the whole show. It must be an inside joke because the dude is not that fat. And the "moving pitchers" line was brilliant. I was so completely entertained at the Time Machine Tour it was amazing. $60 had never been so well spent.
Dude, seriously. Next time just find a depth and leave it alone. Just pan back and forth to what you want to see. Everytime you go in and out, it fucks up your sound quality. (I guess you know that now, though.) :-(
@musicmaven69 There is still time:) I saw the Time Machine Tour in Toronto Ont, on 07/17/10 and I should be going to see them again in Hamilton Ont in April, 2011. So they are still out there playing the same tour and Ontario was lucky enough to get a 2nd time around:) Ooooooooo ya I can't wait :)
Thank you soooo much for this really great capture. I was losing my ass laughing so hard at the show and was so happy to find in online & be able to watch it over & over again to catch all of the hilarity. these men are brilliant. i just adore the fact that they have a sublime sense of humour. every part of the skit is off the hook. THANK YOU FOR POSTING, now to pass it on!
