@Avenrum Yes, it's a shooter released back in the days when all FPSs were called "Doom games". The graphics engine is more advanced than Doom, though, which didn't have polygonal characters or vehicles etc.

Thanks for an awesome LP. I never managed to complete the game myself back in the days, so it was nice seeing the ending here.

This truly was a ground breaking game that never received the attention it deserved.

1st pc game I ever played. Still have good memories of this game and also the sequel though the ending to skynet was a huge disappointment for me

ahh pretty cool ending, i like how theres a sequel...skynet still manages to exist for the sequel to happen

either way its pretty interesting to see how the games cannons and the films cannons differ slightly in their alternate simiar reality likeness, either way with all this time travelling i imagine neither humans or machines actually win, it all just loops around over and over again

Can someone please tell me how to get into the warehouse in Level 7 - can't seem to get in there, I can jump up to the warehouse floor level by the fallen garage door but can't seem to get in.

Why the fuck there isnt a mod to remake this in the source or any other new engine for that matter, is beyond me. This game is VERY good, and needs a current remake. Not only would it look nicer, but the terminators would be more threatening. I dont think they should make them faster though, just a bit harder to kill. Hell, I'd like to see Bethesda go back and redo this after FO:New Vegas.

I think I'm done with Terminator at this point. I felt it was important that someone did a Future Shock LP (seeing as there were very few FS videos on YouTube before I started uploading these ones), but I'll leave SkyNET for some other retro channel...

Actually, I have started recording some videos of another game (an old PC RPG which doesn't seem to be on YouTube at all since Boilerplate closed down his channel), but with all the console games I'm playing at the moment I'm probably not going to have much time to focus seriously on a new LP. That said, I'm thinking of maybe uploading one video a week or something...

Believe me, if I could do Battlespire I would. Unfortunalety, it's very hard to record that game and it would at the very least require a much better computer than I have. But someone with the right rig should definitely make more BS videos...

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's hard enough for me to run it, let alone record it, that game does need to consume quite a few system resources :D

yup, recording it thru DOSBox is very expensive. ever tried dgVoodoo? it can run Glide, but also plain DOS games (with LFB emulated). VDMSound is quite glitch-free for 8-bit SB emulation.

then you should play the last level of SkyNET.. or maybe you shouldn't. :-) compared to that puzzle-riddled, frustrating mess this mission is quite satisfying apparently.
