i really wish i could have seen Kooza when it came to Hartford. I saw Varekai when it came and that was amazing! Maybe if Kooza ever comes back to New England ill have the chance to go
Loved hearing about Kooza. I'm a bit of a Cirque enthusiast. The reason you didn't see the 4 girl contortionists is because one of them was cut during the creation process. The rumor is that she was being a bit snarky with producers and stuff so she got the boot, but the other 3 girls are fantastic.
Oh I bought the hats with Nutter activities in mind and wanted your vid to be the first ;-) The tents were amazing inside as you will see better having watched the link. Love you, Twish (((hugs)))
Hi Marylou! I love the hats, such a multipurpose purchase, I wish I would have got more of them! They had one that was like Rafe's red hat only blue and yellow like the Big Top. It would have matched the juggling balls I bought for Rafe (I hope he will juggle them in a video soon) but they had them on these huge racks that were way up in the air. You couldn't reach them without their help and they were all busy with customers, maybe next time. Which show did you go see?
Even though the red spots on the plate look like catsup/ketchup they were actually the most amazing raspberry lemon sauce. It was... to die for! But since I'm still with you all I must not have reached my lethal nirvanic cheesecake toxicity threshhold yet. But I might try again, one day. ;-)
I've heard rumours. But I believe they were started by the owners of Dove chocolate in Chicago back in the early 80's and have no substance in the discusion of non-chocolate addictions. Except Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake. Our wedding cake was Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake with a dark chocolate icing, high gloss and a smooth piano finish. With fresh flowers accenting, it was amazing! perhaps one could OD on that!
My daughter is a baker, and she makes the MOST AMAZING CHEESECAKE on Earth. Unfortunately, she never bakes one for ME! It's unbelievably good. Her pumpkin cheesecake will make you take up homicide!
You should remind her that Father's Day is June 15th. Do you want me to shame her into baking you one? Give me her email address. I'll make her weep with guilt and you'll have TWO for Father's Day. LOL! My momma taught me all ways about guilt and martyrdom.
Me: How many of my mom does it take to change a light bulb?
Boy, for appreciation at OUR work we got a sub from Subway. I've never seen Cirque live. Seen the Bravo (A&E?) shows. It's a little bit creepy on TV. Any less so in person? I think I might have a thing like Rafe's contortionists about clowns and French little people. Love the black hat. You could use it to hypnotize people into knitting!!
Great idea! Maybe my plan to use the hat to achieve global world domination WAS a bit too ambitious. Making everyone knit might be doable though...hmmm, can you imagine a contortionist knitting? She could hold the pattern with her toes in front of her face whilst knitting behind her back!? ;-) did that creep you out? It was a test.
No, that was fine. Now if it was a dwarf clown, we might have issues. Not that I have anything against dwarves, or clowns...but the combination...OK, digging myself a hole here...Could a contortionist knit with one foot and one hand?
Yes, I personally think a contortionist can do anything! One of the girls was touching the ground from chin to chest and her legs were bent back over so her feet were in front of her face, knees bent at 90 degrees. She then crab walked around herself in a circle about 8 times really fast. All the while her upper body and arms were perfectly still, her waist twisted like Linda Blair's possessed scary head! It was frightening, yet exhilerating, at the same time. Yet, she lived! Amazing!
Heck, that's nothin'! I can keep my upper body and arms still, and I don't HAVE to bend my legs over my head to DO IT! So THERE! Hrumph, these people are overpaid...
The Cirque du Soleil I got to see was quite extraordinary. Can't remember the name of the show but it had to do with water and the most amazing pool I have ever seen.
Awesome! The people that create these shows are the best at what they do and they amaze and astonish every time. I would love to see them all! What talented people!
Deb! Great Vid..I would have loved to see you explain the hats to your officer friend..I like both hats..however the spiral on top of the one is awesome, so I would pick that one as my favorite..have a great day!
Thanks, Eva! I'll try and have a good day, but I'm home with a sinus headache :-( today. I need to PM you one of these days about stopping by to see you and Jill on the way to Iowa next month. It would be a quickie visit, but I hope we can work it out.
LOL, YT is the best medicine (and lots of caffiene) as I am feeling much better already. I may even make it down to the house to help Rafe with sawing and nailing boards...ouch, not quite yet, the headache isn't THAT gone!
YT is good for the soul..and all that ails you..lol..I wouldn't rush physical labor..headaches have a habit of subsiding but rushing extreme pain during activities..:) Rest, YT and a good cup of coffee..:)
You are so right - that one was very professional. But yours was more personal. Thanks for the link and the review. One of these days, I'll go to one of their shows. /runs off to work on hubby....
Love the hat - I'd like one to wear around the office so I can mesmerize people with the spiral design on top :P Everyone else will have to wear the one with the bells so I can hear them coming lol good vlog - I have some cirque dvds - love it
Cool, Dave, I regret I didn't buy the DVD of Kooza while I was there. I know it could never have compared to being there, but would have been a good reminder. I hope they have it on their website. I love my hat too and hope to use it come Halloween at work. It reminds me of Johnny Depp in Willy Wonka...without the creepy teeth ;-)

Answer: None!
Mom: No thanks, I'll just sit here in the dark.
