My father was scanned by a Philips MRI scanner and it saved his life by detecting cancer at a very early stage. He was treated and i couldn`t be more happy. Thank you Philips. We also have the ambilight TV. It`s extremely cool. Go Philips!!!
Mankind either needs to find a way to remain physically and mentally healthy while technology insists on slowing us down, or we need to accept that our world is going to turn into the movie Idiocracy.
philips was found in 1981, sony in 1946, philips invented the cd, tape, the dvd, the tv, they introduced the plazma tv, and many more inventions what prove that philips is just better than sony, philips rocks sony sux....
I think they do make it simple! But only if you need it. The TV that was showed. The one who could change in a mirror. It´s just very funny and cool to have such thing. But like the water can, it is pretty handy.
to be fair, yes the products were new and innovative but theyre not making it simple, its just pointless, it would just make our lives revolve around technology rather than...well our lives!! altho i think the MR scan is quite good
Most of the stuff seemed pretty gimmicky. The only product that sparked my interest was the TV/Mirror, but the issue there is that most people don't want a mirror as the focal point in their living room (or that's how I feel anyway).
Philips try to be different to other brands, which they do very well. They want products that are in the lead of design and inovation. They are not sheep.
I totally agree. to all those people who say its pointless, a lot of stuff is pointless in life but we have them anyway. I love philips, i have so many products made by them. They are the best company.
Philips make great stuff. I have their shoq box MP3 player and it is so much better than an ipod that it's not even in the same league, and for half the money.
Hi i lived in eindhoven (philips city) I saw philips products (much more than this video) wich i can´t find nowhere its pretty anyoing as i live now in spain and i miss that stuff very much. I guess philips keeps it for its own land and city first for testing and after releases it. I love philips though i grew up with it i even liked FRITS!
Its great to see such a clever mix of colour and light... all the best elements of design and innovation... great to look at yet so functional in form.
Yes big, you add LEDs to any object in the home or not and the object becomes simple. But don't forget that the object must adhere to the standards of retro-modern art.
They also have this really cool fart elimination technology that can suck fart particals right out of the air before they hit your nose. It's a pellet that looks like a Mike and Ike and goes up your nose. When it senses the air biscuit, it glows a preset color based on the intensity then absorbs the odor. Cool, huh? I can't wait to get one!!
But what about the prices people... the humanity... I'm sure that when these stuff hit the market, probably most ppl won't be able to afford them. Regardless that all of them are really not essential to anyones living
I agree...Reminds me of the big GE advert. campaigns (more useful ideas, more 110v using appliances for better living, more simplicity via incremental complication) of the 1950s. Ive no idea how I can get by without an electric can opener. I really like the gradual wake up light. This seems much better than actually having a window in my bedroom. Though, if one lives in a place where bedroom windows open to an alley and brick walls I must appear to be ramblin'. Sorry to disturb...
I remember at school once we found a mobile phone and when you press a button on it the screen became a mirror. That was intense. But the phone was all in japanese so we handed it into the japanese teacher.
The only thing that looked intresting on there was the t.v./mirror..talk about saving space..anndd it goes on the wall..wootness...Lol yeah the plant one would come in handy for all our smokers.
Not sure you can tell from the vid, but that TV serves as a mirror, but also as a TV and a computer interface to the house's functions. Also, it adjusts to the height of the user, so if a child approaches it, it rotates to the height of the child so the child can address it via touchscreen.
You mean the one at the end? You take pics using your phone or other device and you simply put the pic-taking device near the globe. The globe then gets the pics wirelessly and adds them to its content.
I was gonna say that. I would laugh my ass off if someone switched one of those cups, and when they put it in, the display lights lit up from 'Basil' to 'WEED'
they better be able to provide all these products at a good price cuz i aint paying no $1000 dollars for no damn tree that has no freaking leaves!!!! u hear me philips!!!

why doesn't Phillips invent some technology to help 2 billion starving people around the globe instead of this expensive shit?

Right. People should learn how things work. Otherwise the machines must take care of the tricky part and mankind will evolve backwards.
