  • This movie sucks balls

  • This is almost dancable.

  • Not the best Zombie Movie But Up there with Georges Best

  • i need this fucking soundtrack and i need it now

one of the best soundtracks ever. This film is so atmospheric

  • is this from a soundtrack if so whats the name

  • Lol

  • fantastica...dal 3.00 minuto...

  • George A. Romero is the only man who knows about Zombies. Day of the Dead is so fuckin` scary, i love this "end of the world" feeling and the music... wow.

  • we got blastem captain ......your on my shitlist flyboy..... do you think he wants be one of them. now the calm part of this song is morning time

  • It's the spic's fault this happened... It's his yellow fuckin' fault..

  • Just amazing especially from 1 50 onwards

  • Romero is now a zombie. He instructed us so well it really is hard for us fans to kill his brain, but after Land of the Dead and those unspeakable sequels he must be stopped before he infects another hundred wannabe-zombie moviemakers

  • this is the best horror soundtrack i've ever listened to...i mean, there are others very special,as the ones in zombi argento/romero, but this one expresses the feelings of the survivals on the earth after a zombie holocaust,in my opinion...very romantic, anyway.

  • I will never forget the famous head ripping scene in this. :D

  • @ZeldaFreak1987 That is definitely a memorable scene. The way you hear the guy's vocal chords stretching before his head comes off is intense. Though, I think Rhodes' death may top that, if nothing more than the line he says as he's being torn apart. "CHOKE ON EM! CHOKE ON EM!" Love Day of the Dead.

  • An awesone film, the best one of the series I think. I believe the 'Seminole Storage' facility are now offices, You can see pictures of it online.

  • Day was the shit but i liked Dawn a lot better. That Jamaican guy in day was so blatantly fake it was hilarious. I like the bastard asshole commander that the soldiers had.

  • Been looking for this soundtrack for years, but can never find it. And if I find 1 copy for sale it's $50 +.

  • Y is this theme so upbeat if its a bleak position for the characters to be in. Holed up in a f**** shoping mall with limited amo a never ending horde of the undead ready to kill them at any moment

  • @SkylitDriveFan123 You shouldnt be listening to this music, you cant spell and youve got the movies mixed up, both movies are classic and where the hell did you get up beat from, are you deaf you must know knowing about movies or music!

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 Kick this guys ass Love Doctor..........

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 LOL, this guy is such a jackass. love that comment. talking about a mall and shit...for fucks sake

  • @SkylitDriveFan123 upbeat?!?!?!?!?!

  • The zombies in this film are the scariest ones in any zombie film in my opinion soo creepy

  • this is THE best zombie movie ever made! why? cause it felt so real, you can see what isolation can do to a person, knowing that there is no hope! and you could be the LAST ONES LEFT ON EARTH! and this one had the most terrifying zombies i have seen. Favorite shot of the film is right at the start where you see the zombies walking around in the city and all them moaning/screaming.....that made my skin crawl

  • I love this masterpiece I watched resident evil afterlife and it was as fucking bad as DOTD contaguem the only 2 zombie movies I shut off in the middle

  • I love the performance of everyone in this movie, from the actors (Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander, Joe Pilato and the rest) to the people behind the camera, like Tom Savini, Gregory Nicotero (that guy gets around A LOT, check out his wikipedia article!) and the camera crew, who managed to get the job done, despite the enviroment fucking up their equipment.

  • i will be honest the remake was strange but this movie was a fukin masterpeice :)

  • It's weird, 'cause I've always thought that Dawn was the best. But lately, I've been in the mood to watch Day, so I did and now THAT is my favourite zombie movie.

  • At 3:01 I can literally feel the ambience of the music, it puts me at ease.

  • that last dead film( survival of the dead) was just wrong on so many levels, please romero i am a fan but please stop making shit like survival it was plain and simple shameful shit from you.

  • MMMMMOOOORTELLLLLLLLL GRACIAS HOMIES

  • we can all say that we will naver get the fealing from watching 70s and 80s zombie flicks as we do now

  • @AerialRcoet so true, why do you think that is? i have a theory, but i like to hear everybodies opinion :)

  • Not the movie Romero wanted to make (due to budget constraints) but still a quality zombie flick...

  • Hellooooo . . . is anyone there?

    M1A1, anybody?

  • soundtrack sucks, Im going back to the Zombie 2 soundtrack

  • Fucking love this movie I can just watch it over and over :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this :3 I never get tired of this movie!Listening to this makes me nostalgic

  • Some of the best est lines in the movie:

    "Yes, sir! FUCK YOU, SIR!"

"*makes gun shape with fingers* Bang! You're dead!"

    And of course,

    "Choke on 'em!"

  • absolut cult!!!!!pozdro from Poland

  • I'm runnin' this monkey farm now, Frankenstein, and I wanna know what the FUCK you're doing with my time!

  • THANKS for Posting!!!!!

The re-make wasn't even close. I love this "Day" for it's gore, filthy language, and "Bub". I never thought I would be rooting for the zombies. Great score. I don't think you'll ever see another zombie film like this again.

  • The soundtrack in this movie is really good and sad at the same time.

2:40 and onwards it really starts to pick up, giving you that nostalgic feeling of the thousand zombie stories that have happened in the world of the living dead.

  • Lolz my previous comment got removed!

No but seriously this a pretty decent soundtrack for a horror movie. It's amazing how even the smallest characteristics of a movie inspire artist to submerge nowadays. Times change! :/

  • Really great soundtrack, the best from the series of films, perhaps as good if not better than Night of the Living dead.

and a great film to match, i love the way that there is a lack of zombies, so that when you do see them, its a shock, and quite genuinly scary, more scary than Dawn of the dead, and this soundtrack is one of the reasons.

it fits the underground bunker, edgeness the film carries, when Captain Rhodes tells Steele to shoot sarah, the music build to the tension

  • THAT FUCKING YELLOW BASTARD!!!!

  • Do you have the background song when sarah is talking to john right after rhodes orders steel to shoot her ? if so could you upload it for me thanks bro!

  • this is an awesome song...do you have the song thats playing when the zombies come in and kill the soldiers

  • Comment removed

  • 0.50 to 1.17 is freaking awesome.

  • Throwbacks all got big dicks!

  • this song is so good

  • "Anyone ****s with my command........They get executed." Rhodes ftw.

  • 1:20 um that picture gets kind of disturbing after looking at it for a while.

  • same as 1:48

  • Makes me want to eat some chicken...

  • Hmmm, now that you mention it, it does.

  • most underated movie soundrack ever!

  • Think you are right. I got an original copy of this on vinyl a while back so it could have a perfect copy. love it.

  • @christwisted23 Really? you have this on vinyl? I collect vinyl, but I don't usually get soundtracks, could I get a copy of this? Just askin...thanks.

  • gorillaz uses a lot of this soundtrack in theyr music

  • From the original "Dawn" as well.

  • uooooooooooh ^^

  • hail old movies!

  • some of the best lookin zombies came from this movie best effects too love this movie!!!

  • and they were whaaaayy too fast running

  • I love the 1985 version of Day of the dead. I dont like the remake. The remake is awful. The story line is completley different. In the remake there not in the Millitary facility there in a hostpital. And its not as gory as this one. This is my favorite ouf of all of George A. Romeros work.

  • what is the soundtrack that all the zombies coming down with the patform?

  • "Escape Invasion" I think, if its the same one where Rhodes gets devoured and Steele commits suicide then thats it.

  • Yeah it is

  • Some of Savini's best work is in this film.

  • IF not the best

  • Day is my favourite romero movie...very bleak and very gory...the best..I think it had more feeling than dawn but dawn is more of a milestone...

  • @EyeHateEmos Yeah I love the arguing between the doctors and Rhoades crew and the pilots thrown in the mix.The movie is so full of tension and depression and darkness, that no movie ever matched it in those terms.

  • i loooooooooooooooooove this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ah poor bub,i loved that guy.some great stills in this.

  • Bub should have been in Land of the Dead

  • amazing soundtrack."day"is my fav romero zombie flick.too bad the remake was complete shit!

  • @cheevo99 Total shit ...worst zombie movie ever.I had some asshole tell me DOTD:contageum was better than Romero's version,if that dude was face to face I would have slapped the taste out of his mouth

  • @TheRalphus666 damn straight.how anyone sat through all of that shit is beyond me.

  • @cheevo99 all what shit every scene in day of the dead is so well made and so good

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 if your not being sarcastic, you better be talking about romero's day of the dead!!!

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 he is talking about the 2000 or so version not the kick ass original

  • @cheevo99 Fucking horrible Rhodes the epitome of evil dies in the first half hour and I couldnt even finish it.Romero had nothing to do with the newer version they bought the company who had the rights to the original

  • @TheRalphus666 i know man,it was too bad because ving rhames is a great bad ass in movies.they could of used him better.it wouldnt of made sense anyway, cos dotd is a sequel to dawn and they used the same actor as a different character.bullshit!!!!to bad they had the rights eh.

  • @TheRalphus666 Yea Rhodes was such an blowhard but was fucking great and in contaguem is he even play a evil guy.He was one of the best characters of that film(the original).I just watched it again for the 50th time 2 days ago never gets old and Savini is at his pinnicle for the special effects in Day

  • @TheRalphus666 savini is an amazing effects artist but i havent seen a movie lately he's done effects in.as he done anything recent?i believe they used real pig intenstines for authenticity in day of the dead.(original)

  • @cheevo99 yea the part where they rip rhodes in half are pig intestines, but therefridgerater ended up unplugged so the smell was overbearing,in my DVD the zombies after the take is over are fanning the stentch away.Pilato(Rhodes) said the smell was so unbearable he wasnt breathing or else he would of puked

  • @cheevo99 lol i know eh, i was so close to washing my eyes out with soap after watching that epic disaster!

  • @adamJcarter tell me about it man, zombies who can climb on ceilings like spiderman...what the fuck?

  • @cheevo99

Dawn was better.... and its remake was horrible, too.

  • @Lazaro5000 i love Dawn too, but how is it better? :s.....NEVER before in a movie had such IMPORTANT dialogue delivered to the audience then Day Of The Dead!

  • @Lazaro5000 i disagree.zack snyder did an amazing job on the remake of dawn.

  • @cheevo99 i agree, zack snyder's take on dawn was great if i want to watch the origional i will, why would you want the exactly the same movie remade exactly the same way?

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 Exactly I would say the same about Savini's "Night" as well and Zombie's "Halloween."

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 it wasnt exactly the same.it was only similiar that they were stuck in a shopping mall.a lot of the story was consideribly different.

  • @cheevo99 The story was cosideralny different, survivors of a zombie apocolypes trapped in a mall surrounded by zombies, different characters, same movie

  • @L0VED0CT0R1 I think your right, each films stands in its own right. I think for most people, the first one they see is the classic, the remakes are a different twist on an original. Personally I prefer Day of the Dead, theres soemthing even more bleak about it, I think the music really helps.

  • @cheevo99 I agree, Nick Cannon, wall walking zombies and bud is a vegitarian

  • sorry bad spelling..slightly dicklecsick

  • the bub thingy .you obviaslily are not with the program

  • day of the dead is the zombie geeks classic ,dawn of the dead is the shit .night of the living dead is the mile stone in horror...george u r the bomb

  • I'm a total zombie geek and you're damn right Romero is the bomb :)

  • whats the first track played at the start when the woman is standing in a deserted street? it has sampling of some voice crying 'where are you' or something like that.

  • That's not just any woman, that's Sarah Bowman....lol XD It's the Day of the Dead Theme.

  • the gonk and ending song of day

  • wonderful music"

  • 0:59 is my favorite part

  • Mine too, that part of the score is great. I never noticed that when watching Day of the Dead. I have to rewatch the film and see when that is played.

  • Its around the part after Miguel is bitten and they knock him out

  • Very well composed synthetic score. Tom Savini's gore effects were outstanding. The film looks quite well even today. Always thought practical/prosthetic gore was better than CG anyway.

  • dark, deep and yet exciting. This is an overall favorite zombie movie of mine! Brain Dead/ Dead Alive comes next ...

  • this shit is depressing :(

this movie made me sad, even though it was awesome

  • i get what you mean! the atmosphere totally depresses me, but i love the darkness present in the film!

  • this is one of the best zombie movies ever but the ONLY thing i dont like is that the zombies are as strong as terminator ripping the soldiers to pieces :P

  • Does anybody reminds this music of Unreal sort of?

  • these zombies, to me, were the most realistic looking. from the bride & groom zombie to military, they have it all.

  • Torez probably got one of the most painful deaths and he didnt even really do anything

  • I fucking love you man. No joke.

  • Why did steel have to die..Iliked him.

  • i think steel could have escaped with the others and become good lol, he was quite funny, the other soldiers got what they deserved!

  • I agree!!! Interesting concept. Steele seems like the kind guy who is influenced by people he surrounds himself with : Bad with the bad guys; good with the good guys!!

  • This is what i call GREAT zombie movies.. Romero is the right man that can create good zombie films.. night, dawn and day are amasing, the zombies, the music EVERYTHING!! Love it..

  • woah woah no need to get over done about it, I honestly don't care if you don't Like sean Hannity I was just caught off guard because you said that.

okay, maybe i shouldn't get onto your case because im not really a mean guy but no need to come back yelling and screaming.

  • How about the Raiders Of Atlantis or the Barbarian Brothers or the I come In Peace soundtracks... pretty sure those are hard to find... thanks

  • This movie was amazing.

  • Still is.

  • Hey LOVEDOCTOR1 what about the track in Resident Evil 1...when actor Rodriguez gets bitten and they are wondering where the female corpse in the white lab coat went that she shot down. Its a scary, but slow sound, not the heavy-metal that they have thru most of the movie?

  • Best part of any song. Starts at 00:58 and ends at 1:16.

  • 1:54 and on, that is pure fucking magic man. I love this score. It's very 80's and so sad and nostolgic. John Harrison is a genious and this score is from the greatest zombie film of all time, Day of the Dead.

  • thanks for uploading one of the best soundtracks man i loved this film especailly the music! dawn had cool songs too!

  • I want Sean Hannity done like the victim at 1:13

  • if you like this one...the best Zombie theme is "Zombie 2 Theme" classic 80's horror movie music.

  • zombie 2 came out in the 70's dude

  • As a matter of Fact 79' and was in theaters in the United States that summer of 1980. But yes you are right 79'

  • How do you subsrcibe?

  • Look at the info again and in the top right hand corner it says subscribe

  • Thank you so much for posting this. From 1:55 on forward is incredible; it really set the mood in this film! Truly the greatest Zombie series of all time - NIGHT, DAWN, and DAY.

  • i agree. it makes u feel for the characters in their situation. makes u feel isolated and claustrophobic.

  • Doesn't it though? I want the soundtracks to all of Romero's movies.

  • okay lovedoctor, so i jumped the gun a little, dont act like you never made a mistake before...gee wizz!!! Anyway great post.

  • If you subscribe ill forgive you

  • I love this song...whats the name of this track?

  • Does nobidy look at the info anymore?

  • I would really like to hear the part that plays when Rhodes tries to escape from the zombies, and abandons his men. That's the best part.

  • "CHOKE ON 'EM" "CHOKE ON 'EM"

  • Theres only like 1500 copies of the soundtrack on vinyl, been trying to get my hands on it for ages.

Ever since I heard the gorillaz song that samples it.

  • put the entire soundtrack up here

  • hey dude, could you upload the song that plays when the soldiers are eaten? cheers

  • Sure

  • the zombies groan and other things in this one though

  • 0:35

that tune sounded like something from that movie "cannibal holocaust"!

  • please load more!

  • GIVE ME SOME IDEAS THEN!!

  • cool! thanx 4 posting!

  • Hey L0VED0CT0R1, im interested in the soundtracks from the Day Of The Dead and Dawn Of The Dead movies by Romero after I've seen these 2 movies for the 4th time today.

  • i like the bub thingy at the end lol
