  • Oh my god...it sounds like sex

  • @NeveGialla161 I've tried sex hundreds or even thousands of times and never did it sound quite like this... (Even though it could have, I just don't pay attention to noises)

  • Where you get it???

  • @rprb1957 From me!

  • This is why I use white cubes...I dont understand why lots faster cubes use black

  • @rubikscooter5012 Because a fast(er) cube doesn't imply fast(er) times.

  • Who cares about out of the box?

  • @vault312 99.9% of potential customers (just an estimate)

  • @izovire I know right? The better it is out of the box, the less work you have to do to make it the best it can be. I actually do enjoy modding, and the feeling of pride, knowing how much you improved the cube, but if you buy a bunch of cubes, the less work the better.

  • @izovire 99.9% of potential customers don't know shit about how cubes work then.

  • @izovire Its all about DIY lol

  • @Hettdizzle Every cube is DIY right? Even if you specifically didn't do it yourself.

  • Ive worked in industrial plant called gher plastics where they extrude plastic for german companies. And the quality between colors is actually different. Ones that are shades different than white have more die and other molecular structure to it. Im not fancy with the correct terminology to use. But yes there is difference. Atleast where i worked at. Assuming this also translates to cubes which have similar plastic.

  • I had a prototype mini QJ 4x4 and it was pure plastic with no additives... it was the smoothest 4x4 I ever owned, really tough too... and... it was milky color

  • There is no difference between black and white plastic except for the color -.-

  • @ColteeYT Have you tried hundreds or even thousands of 3x3's?

  • @izovire Well no, but tell me... how COULD there be a difference in quality? It's just painted plastic.

  • @ColteeYT Painted? I don't think you know and neither do I on knowledge about plastics. I do know that color has to be added to make certain colors and black would have the most added, possibly weakening it's strength and flexibility.

I will be conducting an blindfolded experiment next week with 4 people. 1 will be a cuber and 3 will be noncubers. I will test 5 different types of cubes of 2 different sizes with a total of 23 cubes involved. You'll see :P

  • @izovire Well, that's really weird. Still i can't graps how white plastic can be smoother than black, or any other color. Maybe it's just a luck of the draw. I once bought two Zhanchi cubes, a black one and a white one. Honestly, the black one was actually better.

  • @izovire @ColteeYT

My mom has worked in the plastic industry and the colour of the plastic actually DOES have something to say. Some of their products didn't work properly with one colour of plastic, but worked fine with another (the exact same type of plastic though. It was in the medical industry btw, so their products had to be extremely high quality)

  • @izovire When he said "It's just painted plastic", I cracked up! >.<

One thing I know for sure, is that the plastic usually starts from a white base. That means the black, or any other colored plastics, have a dye added to them. Usually making them softer, than the pure white plastic. The softness can cause more friction, making the cube slower, but smoother, and less noisy. As a test, scrape your fingernail on a white side, and a colored, of a Guhong 6Color. Color side will have more friction.

  • @MangoTangoFOx I will be honest, i seem to get better results with black cube, i really don't know why. It just seems to work better for me.

  • @ColteeYT It may be the visual effect for you.(recognition)

  • @izovire Just make it double blind, then it would actually have some credability

  • @i656ier It honestly doesn't need to be double blind... It is not a psychological test. As long as he asks the same questions, for all of the puzzles, it is valid. Double blind experiments are only necessary when a bias could come into play. Since Izo is only going to be recording the subjects' opinions and conclusions, his bias does not come into play, unless he purposely altered the results, which would make the whole thing invalid, double blind or not.

  • @MangoTangoFOx I do not know how he will perform the experiment, therefore I do not know how his bias could effect the experiment. All I know is that this is often more ways than you would think at the first glance, and that Izo is clearly biased on this matter.

  • @ColteeYT They aren't painted at all.

  • @ColteeYT hummm..... not
